"Well, I haven't seen you around before, not that that means much in an area like this. Where are you from, if I may ask?" The memory of his spill-session earlier made him want to ask more about her, not really to even things up, but to keep up with manners. If she didn't want to tell him, he'd back off, but he had to ask anyway.

"Paris." Twila said softly, pronouncing the word with only a hint of a french accent. While she had lived in England since her unfortunate marriage, Twila still considered France her home. "I reside in England." She placed her chin on her hands, staring at him in an almost daydream-esque manner, as if her mind was a million miles away. She was thinking that it would have been nice, had she had inherited her parents' chateau, which of course would never happen. It had gone to Gautier, and Twila was pretty sure her brother had brats of his own now. Idiot. What good would the chateau do him? She shook her head imperceptibly, coming back to the present. Focus.

"Certainly makes living in Godric's Hollow all your life sound far less interesting." Taking quick note of the dreamy quality of her expression, Zephyr allowed her time to think of whatever her mind was drawn to - his mind was also elsewhere. That wasn't entirely a surprise in his case as it was pretty common. Came with the territory of not having too much social grace - or even a social life to speak of.

"It's better than a basement." Twila said without thinking. "But it was a long time ago.' She said quickly. "I haven't been there in a while."
She risked looking up at him to catch his expression. "So... where do your loyalties lie?"
