Made entirely of wood, Hagrid's cabin has housed all of the groundskeepers before him. A wooden fence surrounds a pumpkin patch in the back, and the area is often a favored gathering place for students that are friends with the gentle groundskeeper.

The three greenhouses where Herbology lessons take place. Herbology is one of the core subjects taught at Hogwarts, and students are taught how to identify, care for and deal with magical plants both benign and potentially deadly.

Located to the east of Hogwarts castle, the forest is a dark and forbidding place, off-limits to students with rare exceptions. Thick with trees, the forest is home to many creatures.

Planted in the middle of the grounds away from any other trees, the Whomping Willow is a bit of a mystery among the students of Hogwarts. Should anyone get too close to the tree, it will launch a violent attack of whirling branches. There is a rumor that there is a secret passageway hidden under the tree, but none perpetuating that rumor have any evidence for it..
