{Entrance Hall}

When entering from the grounds, massive oak doors open into a cavernous chamber lit solely by torches. The marble staircase to the east of the doors leads up to the first floor, and double doors set in the south wall lead into the Great Hall.

{Great Hall}

Hogwarts' most important gathering place, the Great Hall is a vast chamber set with four house tables and a staff table at the head of the room. Hanging torch-brackets and floating candles light up the room, and the enchanted ceiling always mirrors the sky outside.

{Staff Room}

A long panelled room, mismatched wooden chairs and a large wardrobe used for storing coats or cloaks are the only furniture in the room. One of few places for the staff to relax inbetween lessons, this room is also a good start for students seeking out their teachers outside of the classroom environment.

{Caretaker's Office}

While small, this room houses many filing cabinets and stores any and all contraband items confiscated from students. When caught doing something wrong, this is the first stop for many on their road of punishment.

{Courtyard}

One of the most favored places for students to take breaks inbetween their classes, the entrance to the courtyard is down a corridor that passes several unused classrooms - including classroom eleven. Flagged white stone frames the ground up to the very edge of a large fountain, one surrounded by benches, and small plants and trees are planted here and there for landscaping purposes.
