WATCHTHESTARSTURNINTONOTHING Sirius took a moment to stare thoughtfully at the unidentified blob on the ceiling, trying to predict if it was safe to walk under it. No doubt that one of the children had put it there, as he didn't remember doing it. Oh well. As long as Maddie didn't find out, Sirius didn't care much. It hadn't eaten through the roof yet, so it couldn't be too dangerous....
Still, Sirius sidestepped it, pausing when he thought he heard the door downstairs. Yep, Walburga was yelling. "UP HERE, MATE!" He yelled, knowing it had to be James or Remus. The portrait wouldn't yell so much if it was one of the kids or Maddie, because they knew to watch for her. TAG: James and Remus WORDS: MUSIC: Beast of Burden- Rolling Stones NOTES:

James had caught the Knight Bus out of Godric’s Hollow for the evening—he preferred the spontaneity to apparating sometimes. He walked up the cobblestone sidewalk on Grimmuald Square, up to the space inbetween #11 and 13. He’d taken this route quite a number of times in his life, and recognized it fondly. There was a crisp air tonight, and it was clear autumn was spreading its vast colours. He reached the spot between #11 and 13, and closed his eyes gently. The air whipped his hair around and stood there, peaceful and focused. He began to walk—still with his eyes closed—on to the driveway of #13, but before he hit the house took a sharp left. And with that, he turned around, opened his eyes and vanished from muggle sight.
He opened the door to #12 and walked in, for a moment entranced his intricate thoughts. So, needless to say he was rather stunned when the howling of Mrs. Black reached his eardrums. He cursed his stupidity and tried to push the curtain shut, with little success. He eventually gave up and found himself at the Grand Staircase, finally out of the hearing range of that horrible woman. He heard Sirius yelling for him and grinned, bounding up the stairs.
He pushed the door to the Study open, and saw Padfoot standing there in the light of the room. “What are you doing up here, mate? Where are Maddie and the kids—you get rid of them for the day? You just wanted your weekly Jamsie and Moony fix, didn’t you?” He laughed and patted his friend on the shoulder and went to the opposite side of the room, so he was now facing Sirius.
