Nicknames: Eva
Gender: Female
Age: Sixteen
Date of birth: September 4, 1974

[THE MASK]
Hair color: Colored that of a dark-chocolaty brown, it matches her skin tone and sets off a rather matured look of the young female.
Hair style:Evangeline’s hair, unless she has a spontaneous moment and cuts it, is a nice length of when straightened reached just below her shoulders. It falls in wavy tumbles, and curve around her face in a natural, but stylized manner.
Eye color: Chestnut-brown
Height: 5'6
Weight: 139lb
Build: Evangeline has a somewhat of a sturdy build, it is feminine, but nothing too under or over weight for her age limit. She’s not frail, but more on the average side. She weights one hundred and thirty eight pounds and is just over the five feet eight and a half inches in height. Her curves are light, not overweight nor under, and fit her style and other features to a tee.
Fashion: Evangeline loves the more natural-subtle colors, nothing burning eyes bright, nothing far too springy, and nothing far too dark. Her clothes tend to be stylish, but simple. She doesn’t put much thought into the outfit but its color, if she likes it and if it’s not too exquisite or not far too simple. She likes to find ways to make simple things, well not so simple. A nice necklace or bangles or scarves or hairpiece, which she normally always has on, does nicely for an outfit—she thinks. She’ll wear skirts, dresses, pants, blouses, tshirts, anything, as long as it suits her current mode—she likes them all. Keep it simple, but not far too simple.
Distinguishing features:
[INNER THOUGHTS]
Overview: &&school;; Evangeline isn’t quite as studious as she is a concept grasper. She can be reading a book, and may have to look something up for reference if unknown to her, but she picks it up easily. She tends to pick up books on subjects that tend to interest her in class that was briefly touched on, just to see how much more she can find out about it. She doesn’t spend hours in the library, more like brief periods to grasp the understanding of what she needs. Evangeline’s mind absorbs what she reads and learns, making studying not so bothersome until a few minutes before for a “refresher” course, and tends to ace every exam and paper given for this;; oh yes, the teachers like her for this.
&&temper;; It is well known that Evangeline has a bit of a fiery temper, it’s not one of those tempers that flare up randomly, but something for good reason. Evangeline’s annoyance span is very short, and she can tend to snap at a person if that span diminishes, even her best friend is not safe from this temper. Her fiery temper has been a hazardous cause in her life, getting more people angry at her then befriending them in the end. Her temper can go borderline violence when her annoyance is pushed too far, but it’s nothing like a punch, well unless she has a huge reason too, but rather a harsh and blunt slap with a fish.
&&true of heart;; Evangeline is one of those people, that if her heart says to do something she won’t resist it. Mind over heart, in some cases is her opinion, because there are times her mind does beat it out, but afterwards she tends to regret the matters her mind can make out, and wish she had taken the “heart” consciousness part of her. Alas, she can’t reverse the past; only hope she doesn’t make that same mistake in a similar situation again.
&&blunt;; Evangeline will not avoid saying something even if it hurts the other person. She tends to think that honesty is the best policy, because if you lie the person could get hurt more then by you telling the truth. Even outside of opinioned questions, she won’t stop and not say what she truly thinks, in a sense she doesn’t even pay attention to the words she says until after she speaks, in which can lead her into fatal trouble.
&&friend;; Evangeline is a person who can be outgoing, but tends not to be so much. She makes friends randomly, with all different sorts of people, despite blood and house (if she can help it). She’s a loyal friend, who would always be there to defend and help in anyway necessary for those people who she calls friends. She’s someone people can trust with worries and secrets, as she’s not a rumor spreader but more of a rumor stomper.
&&spontaneous;; Despite being not as outgoing as some, Evangeline has a spontaneous nature. She’s absolutely fine with quiet, what’s she’s not good with is dull. If she’s bored she will end up doing something to liven the mood, humming, charming things to clap in peoples ears, something to get people to do something beyond being depressed and/or boring.
&&deep thinker;; Evangeline is a grasper, and despite her blunt nature, she can tend to become absorbed in a thought that most would call “spacing”. In reality, she’s going through information on the subject and moving through what she knows to figure out the problem or just to see how complex the subject at hand is. During near fights, she can think quick and put a stopper but it normally results in a bad way due to her bit of a brash attitude.
&&atadEGOTISTICAL;; Really it’s not a huge thing with her, but Evangeline likes people to know that she was responsible for something if it was her, and in a small way is a bit full of herself. She sees everyone and sees how they differ from her, in both good and bad, but tends to like to try and find the “bad”, she just won’t say it aloud.
&&love;; Evangeline, really doesn’t get the whole hype about having a boyfriend—or in some cases, girlfriend—it’s never made sense to her. Maybe it’s because she’s never quite fallen for someone, but she sees it, currently, more of a waste of time. It tends to break friendships and makes people angry, which annoys her to no end because then they weep and moan in the dorm for weeks like it’s the end of the world. She finds it a bit their fault that they fell too deep, and certainly hopes it never happens to her. She can flirt, yes, if she feels like it, but she doesn’t—or hasn’t yet—tried to venture beyond that.
&&courage;; Evangeline will stick up for a person in a heartbeat, unless of course they’d rather have her dead—then it’s iffy, she won’t step up in front of an Avada for a random person, but she will try to deflect it. If someone is bout to get hit by the Whomping Willow she’ll move him or her out without a second thought. She hates the whole blood rivalry thing, and if someone tries to trounce a muggleborn she’ll snap back at him or her just as fast. She dislikes people who harm defenseless first and second years, and finds them cowards and has no problem telling them such.
&&clique;; Coming to cliques, Evangeline doesn’t see herself as “popular” or anything really under “dorky” she’s average, in her mind at least, maybe different in others. She doesn’t just talk to the people who are in her house, and will on occasion pick up a conversation with a few of those who aren’t as polite, but still untrusting. She has a bit of personality to fit almost every clique, making her get along well with people—but she doesn’t stay stable with one person or group, and hangs out all over the spectrum.
&&sarcastic;; Evangeline is one where sarcasm can drip in her every word, if given the chance. In the beginning, it was just for playing around but over time sarcasm became a natural part of her;; to the point, it’s hard to tell if she is being sarcastic or is actually saying what she truly thinks. Thank goodness for her blunt nature!
&&stubborn;; Evangeline is a very stubborn, hard to move creature. She’s not easy to sway, and certainly not one willing to be swayed. If she sets her mind to something, she is determined to do it. Rather it’s sneaking out or not, or finding a way into the Quidditch locker room to dismantle it someway, she’ll do it no matter the tasks it may put in her way. She plans things like these out carefully, and if someone tells her it’s too risky, she will stubbornly disagree, growing up with two older brothers tends to make a girl a bit more then a little rough, ya know!
&&funloving;; While she has an easy grasp on a subject, Evangeline doesn’t love studying—more so, in fact she can tend to loath it, she loves to have fun. She’d rather a snowball fight in the winter then to be stuck inside studying any day. She’s more of a fun person, who at times can find being mischievous more fun then actual talk. Depending on her mood, her ideas of fun can change. From joking, to talking, to pranking, sometimes to studying (rarely), to being outside and sometimes to playing some type of sport.

law » The concepts of Law have gripped Evangeline since a very young age. Perhaps it's the mere fact that her cousin is the Minister of Magic and that makes her stare in awe, or even the fact that her father himself is a lawyer. No matter the reasons, the girl has an innate attachment to law that someone might find perplexing for some of her other brash natures. Yet, if you play clear attention, despite everything she's said and done Evangeline will not defy the law ( I will not say never, for of course ,Evangeline does believe there are times such things should be broken.) Ever since she could grasp hold on the books, Evangeline has read law books from cover to cover. And it's not just legal law, but politcal-- considering both go hand in hand, and politics often lead into law. It's actually something that leaves the girl consistently yearning for more.
understanding » Evangeline first and fore most does not care at all for not understanding something. It grates on the girls nerves more than she'd care to admit. It's the one thing that will get her to study, if she honestly does not grasp the subject or what is being said Evangeline has this determined streak to come to the conclusion of "Why?" answered. Evangeline doesn't like to think of not being able to figure something out, this is probably her more refined Eagle quality, her determination to understand anything and everything set before her if she feels the need. Maybe it's wrong to always pursue the answers, but it's definitely something many Ravenclaw's have yet to learn and that goes for Evangeline too.

While we must remember Evangeline has little control over what is said (from her utter-truth complex to the bi-polarity) she will always remember what is said. It never seems to matter how hard she tries, in the end it always seems to turn out poor. And it's with that, that Evangeline has come to hate herself. She doesn't like the idea that she angers and annoys people without meaning to, or hurts them. Sure, there are appropriate times in which she does strike in such manners and mean it, but on a more daily basis she normally doesn't. Evangeline is constantly trying to figure out a way how to change something about her she can't fix, or at the very least repay the person. Even so, Evangeline would like to believe that one day she'll treat people better.. she hopes.

[HISTORY]
Evangeline was born on a cold and windy day in September of 1974 to two, already loving parents of Deandree and Fanquinton, at the time young fairly young parents (in St. Mungo's). She’d be the fourth oldest, of a fifteen children generation of the Demaree family, and just barely missed the cut to be a seventh year in the school year 1974-73. Her first few years were spent bruedly as her brothers had started walking, and at the time Ajisha and her parents were on the other side of the UK, and therefore had trampled over her and threw and stole several of her items when she started walking. Fanquinton and Deandrea were always violent little things, purposely kicking at their younger sibling and other manners of torturing her, therefore by the time she was three, and the twins Mariah and Marcie had been born, she had gained a bit of a violent streak. While she never used this streak against these two babies, she often got irritated with her brothers and would pull back on the toy, or grab something else and throw it at them if they tried taking it from her. However, her blatant attacks were never without good reason, unlike her older brothers.
While Evangeline grew older, and her stubbornness and seemingly courageousness grew, by the time she was six, this generation of Demaree children had grown to be an accountable number of eleven. The Demarees, were easily a close knit, overly large, family and often got together for parties for no reason—just to get together and see the rest of their family, really. It was one of these such times, that Evangeline had her first interaction with magic—while her older brothers had yet to have any. The older ones, Fanquiton, Deandrea, Ajisha and herself had wandered a little down the road to a small park where there happened to be an Angel tree of enough length, and low enough, for them to climb on. And while the were climbing, the temperamental brat that was Fanquinton had the bright idea to try and push Evangeline down, when they were already about six or seven feet in the air, while it wouldn’t have been so bad as she was already 3 foot nine inches, it was still a possibility of breaking something. However when she did fall, she simply bounced—unharmed and unphased as she automatically began chastising her dumbstruck brother.
When the returned home a few minutes later, it was needless to say that the entirety of the Demaree clan were quite enthusiastic about this little magical spurt, that Deandrea, Ajisha and even Fanquinton had shown little signs of. [Well nothing plausible they could say were actually magical.] However, two years later, when the last four children of the Demaree clan had been born, Deandrea did indeed receive his Hogwarts letter, surprising the family as by now he was the only one of proper age who had shown no magical workings, he was just as fast shipped off and Evangeline was already curious. Mugglework was no fun, so when her parents took them to Diagon alley for Deandrea’s school books, she requested all sorts of books on different subjects, the creatures, potions, plants, spells and most of all books on Hogwarts itself—much to the surprise to her parents, who thought her just as temperamental as her brothers, and would never have any interest anything such as books.
By the time Fanquinton got his acceptance letter, Evangeline had already gone through all the books for a first year, and was drastically bored of it all. Sure, texts gave you an idea of what it was but it wasn’t practical. She began sneaking her parent’s wands, much to their dismay, and practicing simple things. Alohamora and Wingardium Levious, always chastised each time for stealing it and being told she’d get in trouble with the minister. However, she didn’t know who the minister was, and nor did she care, really, she never met him so at the time she had absolutely no respect for him.
She got caught several times, and by the time Fanquinton was in his third year and Ajisha was shipped for her first, grew vaguely annoyed by not being able to go. She was one of the oldest, yet she had to be stuck with the annoying crying little kids who were always tugging on her to go play ring around the rosie. Don’t get her wrong, she loved them, but sometimes she just wanted to do something else beyond that simple game—like exploring, or actually being able to use a wand for something! Alas, however, she was too young and it left a bitter taste in her mouth.
The following year, when she received her own acceptance letter, she had let out an exasperated “Finally!”, afterall watching three children already being shipped off to a school she was going to be deviously talented in was a bit of a wait for a young girl. When she received her want, she memorized it’s components to let herself know it was hers, not her parents, and that she could use it whenever she liked—disregarding, at the time, the Ministry’s rules.
However, before she get into any real trouble, she was shipped off to Hogwarts and was immediately in awe of the grand castle, that she swore the books gave no justice too. Her first year, wasn’t spent subtly, she was often caught up some idea or another, and at other times in the library and out just as fast as it took her to get in there, she was quiet in class, answering when called upon, but normally off thinking up something that the teachers would frown upon if they could hear her thoughts, naturally, they weren’t class related, but no one would know the way she answered correctly without a second thought.
Now in her sixth year, Evangeline has passed her OWLs with extrodinary talents for someone who studied, well not as much as other students, and is stubbornly going to do the same with NEWTs. With only Ajisha left at the school of the original crew, the younger kids have joined the pack, and in a small way she finds it her duty to make sure they don’t get into any trouble. All eleven of them. Over the years, Evangeline’s temperamental personality has made her lose some people as friends, but those who could stand it she is very loyal, and will stick up for. She’s had very few detentions, as any trouble she’s tried to get into has been small scale, or she was just never caught. She’s generally a good student, however her teachers may disagree with her lack of studying, but whatever, she still makes some of the top grades in class. Overall, her first six years have been both uneventful and eventful, now she just has to survive the last three terms.

«WHEN YOU STAND BESIDE THE OCEAN[/size]» [/center]
Evangeline's mind was being prudent today, that much she was sure of as she had stared at the Castle Grounds from the corridor windows. She'd actually managed to keep the boiling emotions more in check then most days, day that it seemed important to keep as well. The melancholy of the air, however, was something that certainly made it easier. It almost felt like breathing in ice, even for a girl like her, but if were to be truthful the self-esteem made it near impossible at times to not have that same icy feel. As it were, Evangeline was going to be a good girl today, or as much as she could. Even if the words were harder to digest then that of many others, Julian Kipler had died. It seemed like Clea all over again, who in her end, had not caused such an extravagant end; no memorial nor closing. The idea of it made Evangeline near bitter, that Julian seemed to be held on this pedestal while her room mate for six years... No, Evangeline stopped and grabbed hold of the infuriated side of her brain.
It just didn't seem right they caused this commotion over Julian, and not so much over Clea it was seeming to insist. Which in truth, it wasn't fair, but circumstances were slightly different now, weren't they? No, she told herself dubiously, more attacks had happened but the essence of death was no more different. There was no justice in this, just as there was none in either death in general. The idea of both happening, and in a few short months of each other, was something that Evangeline found shocking and appalling. Why would drive people so far as to do this to people? Clea hadn't even bothered anyone, and yet she paid the horrid price of death, and only to return for an eternity as a subsequent figure. And, while Julian had practically made himself a public enemy recently, he wasn't going out and attacking people. He was watching over them, that certainly was not a meritable reason for his death. Then again, what did justify people dying? Oh, yes, Evangeline was going into a firm debate with her own mind and it didn't seem to bode very well at all.
Maybe the girl should drop the debate, she thought industriously, considering she had walked this far with none other than Naomi Raine. You know, the one girl that could get through to the female of the same gender? The girl that for a few weeks the tension of moral values and teen hormones had driven a stake between their friendship. Until, of course, Evangeline had found said best friend in the pool of blood on the Fourth Floor Corridor-- and let her tell you now, she avoided that one like the plague it was, which normally put a damper to going to the library, but it wasn't as if she lived in the library. No, it just didn't work well with her, considering the memory of Naomi was so firmly implanted there. So yes, there had to be better things to do then debate something. After all, despite everything, ever since Hogsmeade the two didn't seem to have much of a time to talksue Evangeline for planning, and being stuck on a boyfriend, and it seemed as if today-- of all days, was the first day they'd truly spoken in weeks. If only it felt right to speak of something that wasn't in the mourning category.
Still, the very idea that registered in her head made her want to smile. Whoever said that Evangeline was not happy about a certain arrangement, would be very wrong indeed. Oh no, despite the years of bickering and the frustrations they both tended to find in each other, it was well worth it. And thus Evangeline was going to admit, she was very blissfully happy with Ethan Thatcher. It was rather sickening really, even when she thought about it, how easily he could make the smile fall onto her lips, or how easy it seemed to rearrange the fibers of her being just for him when she couldn't for so many others. She was willing it, she wanted him happy more then anything, pretty pathetic, eh? No worries, Evangeline knew this herself, and when the thought came about it often made her frown and roll her eyes at herself before breaking into a small fit of giggles. However, right now, she was doing no such thing. No matter how the smile infiliterated her lips at the thought of his name, right now she knew it was a bit out of place. (Even if she thought it was her turn to squeal to her best friend, nope.)
So, it was on that note, the smile faded from her lips as much as she wanted it to stay and to share her beacon of light with her friend, she knew it was better to stay away from that foreplay. Despite the fact, that for Evangeline, it held something of a better day for a little bit, that the world wasn't all black and dead, it was hers for the moment. And besides, she had thought airily, that would end soon too. The words were pointed and dejected, something she was hoping she wouldn't bring herself to say. Of course, however, the year was over and school was closing.. it wasn't like they'd be seeing each other again, and if the school even reopened, well, it would still be months. It felt rather silly to tie the--him done, with such an open summer there. The fact he would go to New Zealand.. with beaches, had brought her furthermore into that decision. It just made her sigh, and her heart to cringe when she thought of it, since she didn't want to. .but it felt most proper, didn't it? This thought, out of all the others, made the female visibly sigh.
The thoughts were ones she had been avoiding, so after the escaped the band of her mind, she tightened her grip of emotions as she brushed back a bang. Now was not the time for that, she thought to herself irritably. When would be? the voice said tantalizingly, allowing the scowl onto her lips. If this kept up she was claiming schizophrenia rather than bipolarity at the rate her mind debated with itself. However, she certainly wished this conversation with her mind were easier to bare. She could take a broken bone in a game of Quidditch, but when it came to defending herself against her own mental tribulations well she would no more pass that then she would join the gobstone club. It just was not going to happen with a girl like Evangeline. There was a definite amount of truth in the words of both sides, she really shouldn't prolong that conversation she wanted to have with Ethan, but at the same time.. did she really want to lose what taken so long for her build the confidence to admit to, and what it gained? No, she really didn't.
Confidence. The word felt an oxymoron to her, considering, when she was most confident was also when she was least-confident. Funny, eh? Oh yes, Evangeline likes to make jokes about the ant thing, no matter, right about now. It was one of the reasons that had driven her away from the after-refreshments of memorial, requesting Naomi to come with her. Of course, she could stay down there and say more, but at the same time, was Evangeline confident in thinking that she may stay in the right of tongue? Well no, she wasn't, and considering the seventh years especially were in mourning right now-- she'd rather not face people she knew would hardly know her in the fact, it was just the way she was. So she'd made sure to give condolences, stay for as politely long as possible, before requesting her friends company. Hopefully, Naomi of all people, would understand the girls need to move away. Besides, the way Evangeline and memories and emotions were, she served no good purpose in their company. The explosive feeling in her veins was something that she'd prefer not to share with them at the moment, and even if she hadn't been best of friends with Julian she had known him, and was friends-- except on the field, you know. So of course, the way her emotions ran would probably not end well.. if someone happened to same something pivotally stupid. (And someone, in some cases being, her.)
Evangeline sighed, turning to lean against the corridor wall, making a bit of a funny face at Naomi before turning her attention to be more serious of a demeanor. After all, she certainly didn't know if Naomi wanted to be joking considering the air of quiet that filled the normal more giggly air between the two. And it couldn't be the two were still mad at each other, or as mad as they could get to each other, considering that after everything that had happened over the last few weeks that had been mended. Unless, of course, Naomi was mad at her for not filling her in on different details on the relationship basis, which for a moment seemed something that Naomi would be mad about. Evangeline just brushed the thought off, no, with everything that had just recently happened the entirety of the school had a lot on their minds. Hell, since June the Fifth she had taken a small irrational blame to the thought of the death, considering, she had been happily spending time with Ethan in the Room of Requirement the evening Julian had died.. but. anywho.
She breathed in focusing herself to stay away from the name her mind had found most captivating within the last few months. Definitely not the time or place, she reminded herself as she fidgeted with the bracelets on her arm swerving from the thoughts. It definitely felt entirely awkward, this lapse of conversation between her and Naomi, when they were together it was never supposed to be quiet. Even if it were in whispers in the back of a classroom, they still talked, it was just the bond of friendship that both girls had come into from day one. You know, the day Naomi marched her way into sharing a trip to hogwarts with her saying "I'm awesome, fact". Something that, Evangeline hoped would never change in the years to come. And it was on that notion, of the first time that they ever met that brought a smile on the girls lips and a small short laugh break rom her lips. Eying the girl she smiled a bit brighter, "Yeah, I hope things never change," she murmured to herself.
Taking a step away from the way, she stretched her arms behind her back noting how stiff they felt and she wondered how long they had stood in those positions in the silence they had. Evangeline shook her head, shooing the thought away as she moved nearer to her friend. A thought becoming distincter in her mind as she tried to figure out something better they could do then separate mourning in awkward silence-- despite having been less than five feet from each other. "Now, tell me if I'm wrong, but there is something wrong with this picture of a Naomi April Raine that is silent," she said lightly, forcing her tone to be more than the polite turmoil it had been in for most of the day. Her smile loosened into a near frown, and she nudged her friend, "Come on.. let's do something better? We're not doing anyone any use like this.. and besides," she said with a grim smile, "I could sneak you into Ravenclaw Tower, and there is a nice new bottle of Tequila Rose I'm sure has your name on it." Evangeline was trying to to be the kind, patient one this time, as much as a shocker it was. But she also knew, this was hurting her friend more then it was her. That much was for certain, and she wanted to help.
