The Leaky Cauldron, what a fitting place for Thea to be right now. She felt like she was leaking. In the farthest corner of the place she sat with her 'the rigth way' in the chair for once. With her legs pulled up to her chest. There was a glass of coke in front of her but it was untouched. Sitting there she thought silent to the world. Yet her mind was screaming. She wanted so badly right now to run to her dad and never look back. She didn't care if she ever stepped foot in Hogwarts again, or if she ever saw the magical world. She just wanted her dad, at least he always understood her. The only thing that kept her from doing just that was her baby brother.
Ever since her dad had left when she was eight she'd kept in touch. Not once even for a moment did she blame him for leaving. He and her mom never saw eye to eye. It seemed as if it was one great fight after another. Most of it was magic related. Her dad was purely muggle. Her mother was a witch, though now since her dad had left it was hard to tell.
That was part of the reason why Thea was here now. Not just because her mom had given up on magic but because her mom had given up on them. She was devastated when Nick had left, she hadn't seen it coming even with obvious signs. Yet even still he left knowing it wouldn't nessicarly be easy on his children. As much as Thea wanted, and he as well, to take her and her baby brother with him. Thea was already showing signs of power even AJ as a baby showed small signs. Nick it best that they stayed with their mom. He'd take them both during the summer. But this year that hadn't happened. He had new job and even had a fiancé. Who was already pregant. She was happy for him and her.. but he hadn't told her that before, he just said he was busy with work. Thea had only just found out. She made the mistake of talking about it to AJ while her mom was around. She heard and went postal yelling and screaming. Thea said things she shouldn't have that only made matters worse. To the point that Thea had to storm out even get away from her. Her mom simply wouldn't drop it. She just kept on and on. It was endless. So here she sat now, pissed, happy and scared all at once. Pissed at her mom for not careing or understanding enough to see her point of view. Happy because of her dad's news, yet scared that he would forget her now. That his fiancé and the baby on the way would take her place. That she would be left there with her mom. Her mom wasn't bad but she just couldn't or wouldn't understand.
Sighing heavily she looked up from her knees, where she'd been hiding her face since she'd sat down. She rubbed at her eyes, as if her black eye-liner wasn't smeared enough it was now. Still half hiding her face behind the sleeves of her sweat-shirt she looked out at the streets. They were more crowded than they'd been just a few days before. Then it was if people feared something unforseen. But now they were out and about in force. Quiet a few families with children milled about. More newbie first years for Hogwarts, the circle of life continues and so to does the life in school. Muggle schools or magical ones they were always the same. The popular and the outcasts. Some were lucky enough to be the 'cool' ones who could get accepted. The rest had to fake it or lie just to be accepted. Being a teenager was hard enough but being a witch too? Sometimes the red haired young witch just wished she could be human. She was half mortal. Most didn't know that. She was in Slytherin she was suppose to be pureblood. All of Slytherin was pureblood. Thats all those stuck up wizards and witches seemed to care about. She heard what they called the muggle born witches, she saw how they treated the halfbloods. Not all Slytherin were like that obviously, she wasn't really. Though she played it up she lied. She was pureblood as far as most knew. As she looked out at the people her lip quivered as if she might cry again but she fought away the urge, still hurt she forced it away as she sighed.
Drapped around her shoulders her feline friend purred trying to comfort her. She gently grabbed him and pulled him into her lap and held him there. Jeffer purred louder still as she burried her face in his fur.

The Leaky Cauldron loomed before Lily and she sighed glancing to the large swinging sign her emerald eyes following the sign as it moved. She shook her head faintly why was it that she found herself in this place at odd times. Lily should have probly been at home but she was tired and she was reluctant to go home. Her shins still smarted from the effects of tripping over the trash bin that had been against the door. She had bruised a little bit but not enough to show it had all been in fun she supposed so she shouldn't be as pissed off as she was at James. Than again she was fairly sure that most husbands didn't booby trap the house. Well maybe Siri did but Maddie would kick his back side if the same thing had happened. Lily had over looked it because it hadn't mattered at the time. The fact that he had been sleepless and not eatting had worried her than it had become something more about there children. Lily had not wanted to argue, had not wanted to feel as she did but still she was powerless to stop foolish human emotions. Witch or not. There just seemed to be no proper answer for what was going on. She was exsausted in all honesty. She thought she could have a cup of tea and maybe doze off in the corner.
Looking curiously and maybe a touch worried at her human Snowflake's glanced around making sure there would be no threat to Lily. Her baby as far as she was concerned. Snowflake did not understand her Lily's mate issues but that wasn't for her to understand. What she did understand were emotions and she could sense something was amiss with a person. The silvery furred kitten licked at the red haired woman's cheek. Her cold nose pressing to it and she made a soft mewling sound. Lily's small pale hand reach up and rubbed along the bridge of her nose. Cooing softly to her. "I will be alright, Snowy-girl." she whispered almost deadpan. Pushing the door open to the Cauldron the cool air blew against her it was at least nice inside since it had been so balmy the past few days, with the sudden down pours. Eyes scanned the place and she choose a seat near the back where there was fewer people. Which meant she would most likely be left alone so she could have her tea and hopefully rest a little bit before heading home. She would have gone to Hogwarts but was fairly certain she did not want to see Severus get that look. She also knew he would.
"Get you something ?" the waitress asked Lily as she moved past her and Lily paused turning her head so a tendril of red curls tumbled from the pulled hood and she offered her a faint smile. Motioning to the seat she was going to take. Indicating she wanted a menu which got the dark haired waitress scuttling behind the bar. Most people who were in that early either never left, or was after the hair of the dog that bit them. Lily didn't want anything too strong. It had been a long night. There had been some issues with theft and the Order had looked into it, wonder if it was a Death Eater thing and nothing had been really discovered of it. Hopefully the Order that was going in as she was getting off would be able to find out more. Lily wished she had found out more about that, she wasn't even aware of what was suppose to have been taken. It was bad research like this that had people running around like chickens with there heads cut off. Though over all they were together thanks to people like Maddie, and Cora and Mad Eye.
"I'll have Lady Gray, The Warm Rice Cereal and fresh fruit." she ordered looking over the menu. Folding the menu up and sitting it near her. She watched as the young woman gave her a curtsy and hurried off to fill her order. It was only than that Lily glanced around her at the people close by. There was another cat, which had Snowflake sitting on the chair next to Lily protectively with the possessive air of a cat that had to guard its territory. All cats understood this really. Though it wasn't the cats that had Lily's attention at that point. She wouldn't say she had Slytherin sense but the girl sitting near by seemed to be dressed like one. To the best of her knowledge which was conciderable. She also looked like she was having a terrible time. Lily wasn't willing to pry but she looked dreadful. "Let me guess, Slytherin House?" she asked her tone soft and warm as she watched the girl for a reaction. "Looking forward to going back to school ?" she followed up as the waitress brought her the tea. She took the time to add honey, cinnamon and cream. Letting the girl get herself together and realize she had been talking to her to begin with.
Pausing Lily realized it might seem fishing for information about the girl so she added after a sip of her tea. "I am Professor Evans Potter." she said "I am taking over Charms for Professor Filtwick." she explained. At least she wasn't saying she was the Defense Against Dark Arts Teacher, the DADA teacher never ever seemed to last. Something was always wrong with them. One had been eatten by a Dragon in her Years at Hogwarts. She didn't suspect it gave a long life expectancy. Another reason to keep Severus from that post. Than pointed down. "Oh, and this lovely lady, is Snowflake." Lily didn't tell the girl Snowflake was a Kneazle she would likely be learning about them this year in Care of Magical Creatures.

The Leaky Cauldron wasn't that crowded today. That was a plus for a teenager who just wanted to be left alone. She wasn't in the mood to talk or even look at people right now. Had she been at Hogwarts she'd have hidden out in Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom. She actually found the girl amusing and interesting to talk to. A little whiny at times, but it was understandable considering. But as it was she wasn't at Hogwarts and couldn't exactly fly there or teleport so it left her seeking refuge here, in this corner. It was better than being at home that was for sure. Seeming rather bitter and sad she sat there, hardly noticing that someone else had come in. She sighed lightly and let her head rest in her hands. Jeffer lay around her shoulders purring. He knew his girl wasn't happy but didn't know what else he could do to help. So he just stayed near her lingering as close as he could. However, his eyes did raise to the figure who entered, he smelled the other cat. He made no move but his eyes lingered on the other cat.
Cradling her head in her hands, she sat there willing herself not to cry. .. Again. She had on the way here, her face looked it tear streaked and red. Her mother truly was something else. She couldn't even begin to describe the woman. She loved her yes, but she was just.. just so different. Ever since her dad left things had all fallen apart. Bitting her lip she fought harder that though again her dad brought to mind his fiancé and the baby he expected. That scared her so much, she didn't want to think about it, she was happy but so scared that he'd forget her and AJ that they'd just be some past life he cared nothing for. One hand pulled away from her face she shifted gently pulling Jeffer around so that he rested in her arms. He mew lightly nuzzling her cheek then lay there content enough as she buried her face in his gray-black striped fur.
Exhaling a little she sighed pulling herself together, she had to go home wither she wanted to or not. Her dad was half way across London and she didn't have the money on her to pay the fair to him Which meant she had to suck it up and listen to her mother rant and rave about her disrespect and whatever else she decided to yell about. Rubbing at her eyes lightly she glanced up from her cat's fur and out the window. The first day of school would never come soon enough. If anything it would just take longer now just to torture her. That'd be just her luck.
The sound of a chair near by didn't make Thea look away from her stare. Her eyes remained towards the window. Pulling her legs and her cat closer to her, her head fell once more to her cat. Thea looked like a what the 'muggle' world might have called Gothic. She wore black from head to toe, a long sleeve sweatshirt with holes cut in the sleeves where her thumbs poked through. Long black and grey fingerless gloves went from her hands up to the bend in her arm, had they been seen. Her shoes were black steel toed boots. Around her neck were many chains and necklaces of silver. The only garment that marked her for anything but a 'normal' teenager was the black cloak, a trademark of Hogwarts, the Slytherin symbol covered just below her knee. Jumping slightly Thea looked to the woman beside her startled by her presence. She heard the chair move but hadn't paid attention to how very close it was. Thea looked at the woman questioningly, she glanced around quickly. There was no-one else near by so she had to be talking to her. Sighing a little Thea nodded in a 'yes' as she rubbed at her eyes once more. She was only making it worse though, she just didn't want any tears to linger there now. Nodding again, she finally spoke, "You have no idea.." She replied though knew that very likely would open up a conversation. She was torn. While she didn't want to spill her guts to a stranger in another way she almost wanted to cry out to someone besides herself.
Staring at her glass the condensation dripped forming a ring on the table before her, finally she picked it up taking a drink of coke. Making a face, fountain drinks never tasted right. Putting it back down in the ring where it had been she looked to the woman as she spoke. She wasn't a professor she'd seen around in her first year. "Pleasure.. I'm sure. I'm Thea." She told her. "Oh really? Hate to see ol' Flitwick go, but cool. At least you didn't say Dark Arts teacher, I hear they never last." She quipped. Thea was actually feeling a little better now, already. "I have Charms next term I think." She added. Thea followed the woman's hand, "I didn't even notice her. She is lovely.." Smiling, "Hello pretty girl." She added to Snowflake. Then looked to the cat perched on her knees. He was looking at Snowflake with interest his head tipped to the side as he looked at her. But made no move to or away from the other cat. "The lump of fur here," She laughed lightly she'd had Jeffer since she ten, she she was rather attached to the ol' boy. "is Jefferson, but he's just Jeffer or, 'Feej' for short." She said introducing her feline friend as well. Jeffer purred at his girl his tail flicked lightly as if thanking her for the introduction. Reality was he was asking for more affection she had been petting him, not the interest was else where. Even with another cat around he didn't mind petting.

The white and silver cat glanced to the other cat with an air of nobility as she sniffed delicately at the air and settled back onto the shoulder she had been lounging against. Her golden eyes flickering over the room than she yawned widely showing small pearly fangs. The bathroom that the girl liked to hide out in was the same bathroom Lily had used as a girl for bubble baths. It was the same bath room she and the current Potions Master and Head of Slytherin had gotten caught in--once. It only took one time getting caught to be careful. Lily knew better and had Severus both were still on very good terms with Myrtle who had been pleased to see them together again. If if they had grown up and gotten older. Lily felt bad for Myrtle on that account. She was a sweet girl but she was stuck at the age she was now. She'd never be older never be able to move foward in her life. Her living friends would come and go get married and have children. Like she and Sev and Myrtle had her bathroom. It was sad in many ways. So Lily never viewed her as whiny she felt the girl had her reasons for being sad.
The girl near her was trying to pull herself together and Lily tipped her head to the side watching her out of the corner of her eye. The motherly nature within her wanted to reach out to the girl. She was obviously going through something, she couldn't stand to see a child cry and this one certainly was upset and sad. Lily bit her lower lip and tried to pretend that she wasn't seeing it. Her familiar had bounced from her shoulder to the table and to her lap. When the other kitty had dropped into her arms and the girl dropped her face into the kittens fur. Upset clearly and the kitten was sympathetic at her. She was at the stage where it could have been anything from boy trouble to just in general being a girl. Lily again shifted her attention to the other's in there shaking her head at the couple snogging in a corner. She wasn't quiet sure what they thought they accomplished by public displays of affection. Well, no Lily couldn't really say that. She just was of a mind that is was rude to stick your tongue down someone's throat in the public eye. She let out a soft sigh. She had not excactly been the typical teenager.
Again the girl sighed drawing Lily's attention back to her she seemed so..down. It wasn't something that Lily saw all to much at school. It seemed that things really were that bad. She was debating talking to her now. Going over what she might be able to find to make a reach out to speak to her to bridge the distance. Lily was a teacher so there was only so much she could do for students. She didn't want to pick favorites mainly because she had a large extended family. The girl was a goth from her dress it was similiar to how Severus dressed. Lily favored white with black trim. it was honestly an odd thing and she smiled faintly. Since she herself wore a bit of silver as well. That also came from her youth and fear of the wolf-man. The older red haired witch had not meant to startle the girl. She had only been intent on speaking to her when she looked about read to burst into fresh tears. Hadn't Cora said she was such a mum Lily had to basically agree because well. She was fairly sure that it was true. Not just to her kids but people who seemed to need her. The fact the girl was clearly Slytherin wasn't lost on her either. So what. Lily had friends in Slytherin so she hadn't really thought odd of the situation. "I have a fair idea actually." came the response as she winked at the girl. "My first born is going this year, and he's fairly adament that the day get her that school opens." she explained. Allowing herself to open the conversation since the girl seemed to want to reach out but reluctant.
"Flitwicks not going anywhere, he's the Head of Ravenclaw I think he's filling in elsewhere this year." she murmured. Lily hoped it wasn't going to be Dark Arts giving the expectancy of such a position. "Nope, not even in my years, you know one was eatten in the Forbidden Forest, and thats why the Forest is expressly Forbidden, that happened back in seventy four." she told her. "They found the body, but there was no real sign of death." she explained taking the arrived cup of hot tea and sipping it. "Well if you do I'm your Professor for Charms." she said with a grin. She knew she had the Weasley Twins too, she'd seen her school list. It was going to be an interesting year to be sure. "She's a full blood kneazle." her fingers gently rubbed the bridge of Snowflakes nose making the kitten's eyes half close as she was petted. Though she studied Thea through the hald closed eyes. The verticle slits only widening slightly as she pondered how harmful the girl was. In her current condition not at all. So there was no need for alarm. The attention of the other cat, made Snowflake blink faintly though neither moved in greeting. Could have been there Snowflake was very Slytherin. "Nice to meet you Jeffer." she called to the kitty. No Lily didn't find it odd to speak to the cat. She had two Care of Magical Creatures books that absolutely adored her for the attention and attentiveness she gave them.
"So having a rough time today." she asked slipping a silver compact from her pocket it was engraved with Lily's across the top and if one only cast a quick glance the stems looked like snakes. She offered it to Thea along with a napkin. "Things often have a way of light being shed on them if you hear them out in your own voice rather than your head you know." she offered. Jeffer's lanky striped form lingered close to his girl, both unwilling to leave her and with a sort of fearful respect and curiousness about the other cat. She was bigger than she was, even him being a male, he was small for his age. He blinked taken aback by the larger female's white fangs. But tried not to show fear even as he snuggled closer to his girl, as if to show that his girl, was his. Thea liked that bathroom because it was quite and for the most part no few went in there. Myrtle too wasn't a bad girl, maybe a little misunderstood and sad, but it was understandable. The girl was trapped forever in that form. A ghost to wander the halls. Thea wouldn't have wanted to be trapped like that. But she felt she was sometimes. Perhaps that's why she related to Myrtle in some ways. She even found herself looking forward to going back if partly for her. As odd as it may have seemed she kind of saw Myrtle as a friend, yet wondered if the girl felt the same.
Thea cursed herself just then, she hated feeling like a little kid. She was more grown up that people realized, her mother was good for something. However, right now Thea felt like she just wanted crawl into a hole and cry. She couldn't though, she had to pull herself together. She was in public after all, her dirty laundry didn't need to be aired out here for all of London to see. At that point, while she was still just barely keeping herself from crying again, had Lily reached out it might well have made things worse. Thea's cocky nature might have just pissed her off. That would've been bad for her and her Charms class at Hogwarts next term, if Lily happened to be that vindictive type. Hugging Jeffer close just then burring her face in his fur she didn't notice the pair kissing with their tongues down each other's throats. She just wanted to disappear. Why didn't they teach that in Hogwarts? Lily was quite right, it could have been anything. It was a number of things. That she wanted to be a kid, she felt to grown up because of all her responsibility, she'd raised her baby brother for merlin's sake! She felt like her mom didn't care about her at all. She only cared about the bottle and when she'd next get her buzz. Thea wish beyond everything else that she could just have the 'normal' family. A mom a dad.. her brother. Then she'd be happy but this broken home, the trips back and forth between her mom and her dad, that was hard. That was why she like her whole world was crashing around her. She felt so alone, like no-one else understood what it was like for her.
The sigh hadn't been meant to draw attention, she was trying to calm herself to pull herself back together and not feel like she was about to bawl her eyes out over something she couldn't change. Thea was torn, part of her was willing to talk, to anyone who might reach out to her, yet the other part was just the scared 'tough' girl that gave off the aura that she could take care of herself even if she on the inside was hurting. It was how she dressed that gave that off too her 'gothic' look wasn't just because she liked black by any stretch, she looked tough, yet hid a softer a 'child' who was hurting. Blinking she looked up at Lily, almost looking her over in a way. "I bet you don't even know the half of it.." She sighed, giving Lily a confused look. She hadn't meant to be rude and hope she hadn't come off as such. Simply though she was curious just what 'idea' she had. "Cool, how many kids do you have?" She asked, nothing thinking the woman before her looked old enough to have that many kids one .. two tops. Even then she didn't really look old enough to have a kid old enough to be in Hogwarts either. "Sounds like me, can't wait for school to start back. I never want the term to end. I hate going home.." She trailed off. Not sure if she really wanted to elaborate on that subject or not.
Listening with a light nod Thea smiled, "Aha, okay. glad hes not really leaving. I kinda liked him. First year with him was funny. One kid turned his feather to ashes, his face was totally black. Never a dull moment. An cool on Ravenclaw head, I didn't know. I just know Snape and Mcgonagall, Slytherin an Gryffindor." She said then added, "Though let us hope I know my head of house.." She said of Snape. Quiet honestly the man kind of scared her. He seemed so hard and distant. She wondered if he'd had a rough life like she was having. "Wow.. that position has got to be cursed or something.. you're serious? Someone got eaten.. I thought some myth or something to scare us.." Thea said her face scared and almost in morbid awe all at once. That was creepy, the poor professor eaten? That was just scary. She could totally see why the forest was forbidden. "This may sound really stupid, but was the forest always called '' The Forbidden Forest'' or did that come because of the professor?" Thea asked raising her brow, it could have been '' The Fun-filled Forest '' or something. Though that name made her laugh on the inside. "Cool, I'm pretty sure I have Charms this term. I look forward to it." She smiled. Looking to Snowflake she smiled still, "I've read about them. They're really smart, seem like they'd be interesting to have around." Thea replied watching as Lily rubbed the cat's nose. She looked truly content. Jeffer liked that too, the nose rub and when you scratched his ears. He was in kitty heaven then. Jeffer tipped his head to the side as Lily spoke to him, as a soft mew escaped his fuzzy muzzle and one paw reached out to her as if to touch her or shake one. Thea chuckled lightly, she treated him like a dog more than she did a cat. She'd taught him tricks, that was one of them, to 'shake'. Though she was rather surprised he'd tried to get 'shake' with a stranger, though quiet honestly she was just another human who might pet him.
Nodding light in a 'yes' to her question. But didn't elaborate, not yet, though she did watch Lily curiously as she pulled out a silver compact. It was pretty with the lilies etched on it. Blinking Thea looked at the offered compact and napkin, wondering silently if she really looked that bad from crying. Hesitating a second or two longer she reached one hand out for them, "Thanks.." She half whispered. Flipping the compact open she looked at her reflection and grimaced. Yes she looked 'that bad'. It was the bad part about wearing make-up, and black at that in her case. Her eye shadow was so smeared so it looked like she had two black eyes. "My dad says something like that. About bottling thing up and hiding them away.. it's better to pour them out sometimes." She replied with a nod of understanding as she dabbed at and rubbed her eyes and cheeks. Soon her refection starring back at her didn't look so bad. Crumbling the napkin in her hands she closed the compact and held it back out to Lily with warm smile as if once more to say thanks.

But nothings greater than the rush,
- - - - - - - THAT COMES WITH YOUR EMBRACE. AND IN THIS WORLD OF LONELINESS I SEE YOUR FACE yet everyone around me thinks I'm going crazy... Lily gave the cat on her lap a gentle nudge when she realized that the other girls cat was showing signs of backing up. She might have have tapped Snowflake on the nose and warned her to not be such a bully to the other cat. However, Snowflake was Slytherin lovingly refered to as being such still it was quiet clear she really was. If her attitude towards those she owned meant anything. Lily was her girl so that meant she belonged to her. Severus was Lily's and thus her's as well, same with the many children and even Potter though he treated her like she was less smart than she was. Snowflake would complain if she had vocals to do so. Since she didn't she used her claws when she was mad. After all honestly, how many people would have believed that the Head of Slytherin was booted out of bed by a cat ? She could have told her that Myrtle never forgot a friend once she had one and she was more than happy to protect them. She had been her friend for years, and Lily also looked foward to talking to her again, she knew that Myrtle was one of the few people allowed to pop in on Severus for a visit if the mood struck her. It was because she was a long time friend. One of the few friends he actually counted.
Anyone who had to protest the point of being grown up or growing up was lacking the actual growing that was required to be an adult. Most children spent there youth wishing to be older. Than once older lamenting the youth of there lives. Lily was not the vendictive type though she was tempermental, she had a bad habit of lashing out when she was pissed off. It was a good thing she rarely got mad or had a temper. Lily tipped her head to the sdie and watched the other girl with her cat. She choose to let her pull herself together. She understood all to well what she was going through or could have told her as much. Lily herself was torn between the two places she was most comfortable and she wore herself out traveling between them. She knew eventually something was going to have to be decided have to be settled. This didn't help really because all she wanted was to see everyone involved happy. She didn't think that was going to be possiable given the history of the situation. Duels weren't out of the question either, and Lily was terrifed of what might come of that. She stroked her fingers along the silvery white fur of her companion who purred under her delicate touch. Reaching for her tea Lily sipped it, and ordered a cup for the girl next to her, and what ever the special of the day was in a low tone. She looked like she could probly do with a meal. Deep down Lily was really a mother she couldn't help but look after children, her own and others as well.
"I won't debate the half of it. However I will say this I was an Auror for five years before I retired to have children." she said "You see the other half of it in that line of work." her words serious and softly spoken. "Me I have three. she answered. "Two boys and a girl." she said bringing her mug under her nose letting the warm tea warm her nose. Her eyes half lidded. "I see." she said measuredly. She gave the girl a closer look and made a face. She was'nt Gryffindor she might have been better off to be though. She looked like she could use a friend. Slytherin though, and falling under Severus's observation. She would have to speak with him on the girls account. "Well, you have a different reason I am betting from my eleven year old." her tone soft. "He's terribly excited to get to go and see the school for the first time, as a student." she said "He's also Quidditch mad, so he'll be all over the place I am sure." she gave a faint nod. "Well, home isn't always where the heart is eh ?"
"You won't soon get rid of him, I heard it said he taught school there when the Headmaster was a boy." she laughed. "Its giving him time to work on spells of his own and have a well deserved rest." she murmured. "Yes, my first year I floated the little boy in front of me." she said with a chuckle. "My aim completely missed the feather and lifted the boy." she laughed softly at that memory. "I've gotten much better since than." she assured her. "Ah well, yes MacGonagall was the head of my House when I went to school here, and Professor Sprout is Hufflepuff's head of House she's the Herbology teacher." Lily told her. "I haven't heard alot of the Defense Against Dark Art's teacher this year, I hear he came from somewhere else, Quirelle or some such." she said shaking her head again. "I can't say I recall him at all." she grinned at her "Oh I know your head of House too." she said sipping her tea. Nodding to the girl when the waitress returned with the hot tea, and the bread bowl of soup. Which was set in front of her. "Thank you." she said to the woman. She herself was still working on her fruit and cheese. "Oh no the Forbidden Forest is quiet aptly named people have a bad habit of not exsisting after sneaking into it." she whispered. "Professor Thellie, didn't know too much about what was what, and he couldn't even tell the signs of a werewolf, which is a question for the OWL's." she made a sigh and shook her head. "I always suspected the vampires got him." she nodded "I also have the Weasley Twins this term." she said with a chuckle. "I look foward to seeing all the students and teaching more than whats in the books, because a person should most certianly be in the know, no matter what." she whispered quietly. "Yes they are, she nodded in approval." she glanced to Snowflake who was dozing off on her lap at the affection and she glanced back over to the girl. Pushing her ruby locks back behind her ears. "Aw cute." she said of the little kitten and reach out a hand like she would have to anything else and shook lightly the kittens paw. Lily didn't maul animals with affection they just liked her, it was a gift. She petted the other kitten lightly though if allowed and than pulled her hands back "Oh yes, she's very bright, she was a gift." she glanced down again to the pale kitten on her lap and chuckled.
She nodded about the compact and had a piece of fruit off her plate before sharing some of her tea with Snowflake who was giving her the eyes. Lily had only meant to let her get herself more together. "Your welcome. her tone soft but kind. She wasn't one to make an enemy out of anyone. "Well your dad would be right on that account than." she said with a nod. "Its like adding one to many ingrediants to a cauldron you know it can hold it, but its wither or not you should leave it there like that or not which is the question." her tone quiet. "its good to let it out once in a while. To have someone to understand you, I know this all too well." she admitted quietly. She reach out to take the compact once Thea was done with it and she placed it back into her bag. Her gaze going to meal she'd ordered the girl. "You should eat that before it gets cold." her tone mothering. Lily herself was still eatting and the woman refreshed her tea. She was still debating where she wanted to go. Home or to the Castle either way she'd need sleep. She was near exsausted. "So your stuck here until School starts back ?" she motioned around them.

Jeffer wasn't a 'scardy cat' by any means, he just knew when he was out muscled and right now the female had him there, plus he was more interested in his girl. He knew she was hurting or 'leaking' one. She was wetting his back with her tears. He nuzzled her lightly with a light mew at her. Glancing to the female just for a moment he snuggled closer to his girl his ears lowering against his head. Thea was his girl and he would defend her, or try, if it came to that but he'd much rather just leave it well enough alone. The thought for anyone, of Professor Snape shoved out of bed by a cat would have been hillarious to imagine, something that'd have to be seen to believe. Friends for Thea, usually came in the four legged varitey. Rats, cats, that sort of thing though she did love ravens and bats as well.
For Thea she felt in many ways she had grown up, she had pratically raised her brother and took care of herself now, her mom was little help. She didn't long to grow up, she already had, for her she wanted to be a kid. Just like Lily, Thea had a temper except she lashed out more often than not, she kept an attitude about her and a 'chip on her shoulder' trying to push everyone and everything away. Aside from her rat, her baby brother and her cat. Her mom had pushed away herself, Thea just learned now to keep her at arms distance. Just as she kept most people. It was easier that way at least emotionally. Besides animals were so much easier to get along with. They never judged like humans, they love without question and are always there. That was one of the few constants that the young teen could depend on. And he convently enough lay in her arms purring.
Thea, blinked, a little taken back the answer. She'd never actually met an Auror, she knew from her studies what that meant, "Retired to have kids.. that sounds funny, but cool.. I guess you really do know though eh?" Thea replied blowing at her bangs out of her eyes then nodded, "Yea I guess you do." Thea said lightly still party feeling as if she might still cry but willed herself not to. She looked at that, three? She looked good, three kids she hardly looked old enough to have kids an yet she had three? "I hope this doesn't sound rude.. but.. you don't look that old.." She told her sincerly. Thea didn't expect hand outs, but a friend, a human one at least, couldn't be to bad. Beside Myrtle Thea didn't talk much to anyone at Hogwarts barring the professors."Eleven? Wow.. you so don't look old enough to have an eleven year old." She said rather shocked by that bit of information, but nodded simply, "I doubt I'll see him around much then.. sports and I don't get along. I can fly and all. but Qudditch seems to violent to me, I don't even like to watch it. Saw one guy.. the one who guards the goal. Took one of those.. brown dented balls to the chest and knocked him off his broom." She added, clearly showing her lack of knowledge of the game, "Sorry if you're into it, I just.. don't get it. Never got into it.." She told her quickly hoping not to offend her. Shakeing her head in a 'no', No.. not always. I hate going home. The only thing that keeps me going back is my brother. Otherwise I'd just find a way to stay at Hogwarts." Thea's face falling a little.
"Wow.. guess we won't eh? It's cool though, I like him. How long has Hogwarts been in existance? Dumbledor and Flitwick, they're like totally anicent then..An McGonagall, is my favorite, that whole animagus thing is wicked cool." She said her jaw droping in disbelief at Dumbledor an Flitwick. Thea then laughed a little, "Sorry.. floated a kid, he okay? You're lucky you actually managed to float anything at all. The only thing that 'floated' for me was my wand when it flew across the room." She blushed a little, Hogwarts was the kind of school every one knew everything. So Lily would likely find out sooner or later anways. "I can float things now.. not that great..I'm better at Defense against the Dark Arts.. and Care of Magical Creatures.." She replied. "Quirelle eh? Maybe he'll last more than open term." She shrugged. "You must know everyone at Hogwarts." Listening quietly Thea blinked, "Wow.. not like I'd go in the forest, that place seems scary, I almost feel bad for that Professor, but he didn't see to bright. Even I know about werewolves.. well some things. An' vampyres eh? That's creepy .." Thea laghed lightly, "I know the Weasley Twins.. can't tell them apart to save my life.. but see them around. I love their shop, I can't get enough Chocolate Frogs." She smiled then nodded to Lily, "That sounds fun. You seem like you'll be a cool teacher, some are just so boring." Thea spoke from experience. She smiled watching the cat on Lily's lap. She looked very happy and content there. Snuggling her cat a little, he purred moving his head into her touch. But then his attention moved to Lily. Thea blinked, ".. wow.. he's never done that before, at least not without me telling him. I treat him more like a dog.. forever teaching him useless tricks." She said shocked that her cat had done that. She smiled as Lily shook his paw. Jeffer squeaked out a 'meow' to her then snuggled down closer to Thea once more having said his 'hello' was content to linger again. "That's sweet. I found my boy in a busted crate in Diagon Alley, he was so little then." She replied fondly as she scratched under his chin. He purred happily.
Thea blushed, a little embarashed that she looked 'that bad' after she was cleaned up and the compact was back to its owner she smiled lightly, Lily seemed really sweet. "I miss not having my dad around all the time, he was good with advice." She sighed, then listened to Lily, nodding what she said made sense. "I never thought of it like that.. but that's really cool, makes sense too." She agreed. "Thanks.. for sitting here..I feel better now, Its good to talk to a human.. no offence to out cats.. but its not always the same." Thea said sincerly. Blinking a little she looked from the soup to Lily. "What? .. you should have really.." She stammered a little clearly shocked by the kindness. The tone too was near to her, 'motherly' something she didn't hear often. Thea stuffed a hand in one pocket the clink of coins followed as she tried to do count from within her pocket. "Trust me the thougth crossed my mind to stay here, I have before. But nah I'll likely go home. Maybe not tonite, but before school starts back. Kinda don't have anything aways, just what I have on an Jeffer." She replied.
