The beginning of the term was soon to start at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and Violet Knox was finally doing her school shopping. She had left her parents at Twilfit & Tatting's to go to Flourish and Blotts to retrieve her school books and possibly get a few new ones. The problem was, though, that her parents had only given her enough money to buy the books she needed. Luckily, Violet, had brought along her well saved allowance, but she had really wanted to save it for a bit longer to buy a new broomstick. She could probably convince her Dad later, though, saying that she hadn't saved enough money yet and she so desperately wanted a new one before school started. Yes. Thats what she would do.
After finding all of her required books, Violet scanned up and down the aisles looking for an interesting book she didn't already have. The books that she had already bought were shoved into a small bag slung over her shoulder, and she was currently holding three possible books in her arms. Two of them were quidditch books, one about the Chudley Canons, the other Holyhead Harpies. The third book was one about Charms, which was Violet's favorite subject. Violet set all her books, and bag on the ground in front of a self, then brought herself down onto her knees. She was wearing a skirt so she was careful how she sat. She began rummaging through the books that sat in front of her. She was going to study each book thoroughly before she made her choice.

Far from being tired of wandering between the shelves of Flourish and Blotts, Selena found herself visiting said store again - for at least the fifth time already that week. While she had already gotten all the necessary school books and had nothing pressing to look for, she found comfort in the stacks and rows of volumes on just about any subject under the sun. Staying at home was starting to make her restless, and she wanted nothing more than to go back to Hogwarts. The days seemed to be passing increasingly slowly, and the waiting for everything to start was turning out to be worse than the strict structure of a normal school year.
Making a mental list of books she wanted to save up for, she rounded the corner of one set of shelves and started down the next, then stopped as her foot smacked into a book lying on the floor. One glance down told her someone was sitting and sorting through volumes on the shelf, and she winced slightly. "Oh, sorry for kicking that..wasn't paying attention."
