----------------- Now I don't hardy know her but I think I could love herCrimson & Clover I wish wish she'd come walking over. -----------------
They were even than since it bothered Lily to that Lilith would mention dying and coming back as a ghost too. Lily wasn't certain what was on the otherside of this life. She had no intentions of actually finding out what that was anytime soon. The fact that in these times it was one of those things where they couldn't rule it out really. She didn't want to think about lossing Severus either since the role he was playing was dangerous, and the rule she was playing wasn't much better. The fact that it made her heart hurt to think about him dying was the main thing. The idea of anyone close to her dying bothered her more than she'd ever admit. This was mainly because she had seen Severus close once. It wasn't pretty and it was a real wake-up call.
At least he had a way out of the conversation Lily was a full blown muggle born witch. She was often concidered something of an expert on certian things. Alot of people seemed to forget she spent more time in the wizarding world than she did London. Sure she knew stuff not as much as say Petunia, and they were coming out with new stuff every day. Her mother and father had kept up with the times. Lily was still hesitant about it. She knew he hadn't had the best of times in the muggle world. So she had done what she could to elevate the trouble he had. Her mother and father had always been warm and welcoming people, it was likely what had gotten them killed. They were too nice. His mother had been very kind to Lily even after there falling out. Apparently she knew it couldn't last. While Lilith wouldn't remember her grandmother Eileen, Eileen had been able to spend time with the little girl at least before she passed. His father Tobias was something else. Lily had not been comfortable around the man. He seemed to not like anything including himself. She was glad he wasn't around when Lilith was little. She knew that his mother would have been ashamed of him for the path he took. She had not judged him or condeemed him for it, the dark magics ran in the Prince family as it were. Her love had been uncondtional you never turned your back on your only child no matter what he did wrong. "Ah, well yes but many people think theres more to simple toys." she told her "The Pure bloods come from a world that is mostly magic, so there for Muggle items are a mystery and sometimes a fascination." she tipped her head to the side and smiled faintly. "No I'd not let anyone hurt you, that would happen only over my dead body." she assured her. She didn't answer not being afraid of anything, Lily was afraid of pleanty of things. She was just good at being brave in the face of her fears.
Lily had taught Lilith A Midsummers Night Dream since Puck's lines and the little fairys were fun to play with as well. She'd educated her daughter well. In both Muggle and Wizardy things. She could tell Lilith was twitchy and she smirked to herself. They were going to go to the park, than to Sev's place at Spinner's End, so there would be no worries about her crashing there would be a warm bed for her to curl up in. If she didn't last long enough for dinner."Well I'd hope so I gave you life." she said with a wink. "He means to be very careful with your heart, that might be the strongest organ in the body, but its the weakest when it comes to being broken." she said though she was certain Severus would add his own two cents worth in. She glanced over her daughters head to the man at the table and scowled lightly. Her lips pressed into a thin line. "Hmm." was all she said. Glad that the little Kitten seemed to be distracting her it was doing its job quiet well. Lily's fingers didn't drop down from her locket, she continued to twirl it.
"It just means you'll have family to fall back on if you need them." she said. "Yes, I rocked you in your grandmum's rocker." she said with a smile. Lily did it was just Eileen's rocker. She never explained which of her grandmothers. Lily was still seething at the man across the way but she smiled for her daughter. "Oh, well yes you can as long as you achieve at least a E in my class you'll be able to take Advanced Charms, and you'll need an O in Potions to take Advanced Potions as standard to my grading method and Severus's." of course Lily covered for him it only came natural to the witch. "Yes, the kittens will make a nice addition to my house full of kids." she said with a faint shake of her head. "I suspect Charlie will be wanting a pet soon too concidering. I suppose we could just move into Magical Meingeries in Hogsmeade." she couldn't help but laugh and shake her head. "I never found them cute, of course I am more of a fruit person than a candy person." she had a strawberry at that off the plate with a chunk of cheese though she was still peering at the man in the corner an unreadable expression on her lovely face. "I like Shadow...personally." she said to her. "Cause he'll be my Pookies little shadows. " she said "Pookies little shadow on four soft paw did chase, across the floor after ribbons, or string or many small little things." she giggled at the little ditty.
Watching her eight year old with the Kitten was adoreable and Lily smiled faintly at the child. She pushed her hair back from her face and glanced to Severus when he shifted in his seat. She had reach out a consoleing hand to pat his arm lightly. "Well, I have to visit Myrtle too." she explained with a sigh. "It would be unfair to be back and not at least go tell our other friend hello. It was true that Myrtle could have been counted as one of Lily and Severus's friends. Lily had both of there Care of Magical Creatures Books. She had taken his and hadn't given it back because he hadn't taken that class there last year, and she had forgotten she'd even placed it on her shelf. It would have been wrong to get rid of it, and it didn't want to go anywhere so Lily had kept it.
The scowl that went over his face wasn't missed on her and her green eyes went narrow and darkened a sure sign that Lily was not pleased. Her posture was maintained though and her mind a blank. Mostly because nothing she was thinking was good or sunny. His words made it no better about what the man was thinking her hand dropped to the spot the silver knife was sheathed before she forced her fingers away. Lily's nose wrinkled and she whispered softly and heatedly to Severus. "Better than what he deserves." she fought to keep a sneer from her lips and promptly stuffed a piece of pineapple into her mouth. Since nothing she had to say was nice. She wasn't about to be improper around her eight year old and tell him what she really thought. Somehow, Lily figured he'd know excactly what that was. No Legimens needed."Well I know there is likely pleanty of things to fix at the house.." that was directed at Severus her voice even but he could tell she was seething. "I think I will let her play in the Park, and we can do some shopping on our way along the stands." she motioned to the stalls that were set up. " Than cook dinner.." her attention between the two of them. "There's plenty enough room for us, I think you should have a real bed to sleep in when you crash." she told her Pookie. "Otherwise, you can sit in while we work on a Potion and maybe if you've calmed and pay close attention we will allow you to help, same with dinner,..hows that sound ?" she answered the curiosity about Severus joining them for him. Spinner's End after all was his home.
Peter had given Lily the creeps not just because of how he'd treated her but how he'd treated Cora to. He was always skulking about and making himself know. Lily knew he had tested at least one of his spells on Peter for following them. Wormy was still one of James friends so she endured him over. She never allowed him alone with the kids. She just couldn't force herself to trust him, and than there was the fact that the man liked to watch the other wives too. He was fortunate Maddy had'nt hexed him so hard, his unlikely grandchildren would feel it. It was why the man staring at her daughter also un-nerved her she didn't like people staring at her or her children. That put Lily in her bad place. She smiled to Lilith when she peered up at her. Yes it was quiet true that she had tossed a dagger at a spider before Lilith could blink. She knew the spell that would have killed it, she just did not use what she thought of as dark magic easily. Her instincts had been to act, the silver knife was worn sheathed at her waist, usually for dealing with ingrediants for her potions work. Lily had been showing her daughter how to prepare stuff for the cauldron, she was already quiet good at reading the notes. She was a good girl, attentive and polite which was all that Lily could really ask for. It was only natural that her children would be adventerous she herself was like that.
Lily arched her brow at her daughter and leaned close enough across the table to point out. "I am certain, that I can tell you this...anything silly enough to be under your bed, would get there backside kicked by your mother my dear." she said as she tapped her on the nose gently. "Don't you worry about the things under there..sides." she nodded to the kitty. "I hear that kittens are reknowned for keeping things under the bed under control.." She nodded her head 'I would love to be a grandmother..but no time soon. You still have schooling and you know life to get through before you do that. Lets get you through your first Ball, yes ? I don't want you to rush into anything and wind up sorry." there was a touch of sadness in her words at that. She cast a fleeting glance to Severus but dropped her gaze back into her coffee cup. When she was asked how she got so smart Lily giggled and pointed over to Severus not very discreetly. "I had the best study buddy." she said.At the mention of blue people she just shook her head. "There really is a potion to do that." She had taken all the kids to see Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and had of course come to regret it. Making sure the kids didn't lick the wall paper to see if it had flavor was up at the top of her list of things to look out for shortly there after.
it was likely good that Sev had padded the wall of his House for the sake of her bird. Nox seemed capable of missing anything meant to keep him safe. Of course he could find Severus anywhere, he just tended to get confused and lost coming home. She'd like to blame it on his age but he was still young yet. Othello was older than him by a bit. Lily was one of those girls who did like poetry and she enjoyed Shakespeare. Both there parents had the books. So Lily had read it and memorized it. it wasn't hard to burst into prose when a pureblood was near by. Since most didn't bother with there muggle studies to begin with, Lily had often taken Romeo's role just by accident. That there lives turned out more and more like Romeo and Juliette worried her as she carried a silver knife, and he was a Potions Master. They were times that had been pleasing. They were also times that they had done so recently as well. Had things gone differently they would have had three children not just Lily. Who knew what else would have been different ? Lily didn't think or dwell on it she was just happy to have him now. Better late than never. They were both working at making up what they both assumed were there own mistakes.
"Well, Harry is eleven years old, Pookie." she said "He's developing his own sense of self and how he wants to be. A mothers job is to love and guide her children, not to own or control them you see." she said softly. Lily never minded her children following her around. She had a pleasent enough personality to not yell at them even if they were underfoot. "Actually Charlie doesn't spend much time with Harry, maybe were overdue to do something together, us and Harry and Charlie maybe Ice Cream in Hogsmeade." she mused. Lily smirked and nodded her head. "I would say Cora was the best." she said "I have seen her make plays that other people wouldn't try or couldn't." she said with giggle. "I saved her from Sirius the first day I met her, and she had just come from practice to. Quidditch was her life for a long time. James on the other hand." Lily rolled her eyes. "Lets just say he was a full time trouble maker." Lily nodded "Exactly, the Lupin I am talking about is Remus, and he's a werewolf." she told her. The tone low so only those at her table could really hear her. "He was really the only one of James friends I could stand." she said with a shake of her head."We never stop learning Lilith no matter how old we get." she sipped her coffee and was thoughtful. "Of course I will still teach you, and I am sure Sev will too, if you've the mind to learn." she arched a brow at him at that. "Right ?" She gave her a tight lipped smile and winced faintly. "I don't want you to be transparent either." Lily was already getting them packed up her gaze flickered back to the man. The only thing that kept her from marching over there and beating him within an inch of his life was she didn't want any more of a scene and well okay three things. She didn't want Lilith thinking that was how to deal with things, and the fact Sev wouldn't allow her to most likely.

WALK BLINDLY TO THE LIGHT and reach out for his hand .don't ask any questionsAND DON"T TRY TO UNDERSTAND• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • It was true enough that Lilith had many of her mother’s qualities. She was brave, and a little bullheaded as the incident with the closet quite clearly showed. She also had a few of Severus’, and was Slytherin enough in some of her actions that Severus and Lily might just have to have a word with the Hat to ensure that the balance was not tipped the wrong way. Severus had no interest in talking of death and would not consider himself ‘even’ with Lily if she were stung by a similar statement. He would not think of it exactly because he had been on the brink, whether he would have wasted away, made his life the second his wand took or gone out taking Death Eaters with him. He had not been willing to die either at their mercy or the worst death he could think of, to die inside and become one of them. Now that he had a new lease of life, he would not so easily consider giving it up.
Severus did not keep himself abreast of new technology in the muggle world exactly because he did not wish to be hounded as a ‘leading authority’ of such. He gave himself as many ways out of such conversations as he could, and would play the antisocial card if he had to, though thankfully Lily saved him more often than not before feathers were ruffled. Lily had once bought Arthur a set of duckies for Christmas, Severus had given her a look and said she was only encouraging. Lily promptly got him back with enchanted mistletoe, though the enchantment was hardly necessary. Unfortunately, Severus knew all too well why blood mattered to those that pushed that ideology, he had been around them for much longer than he would care to count. The Death Eaters had had a tight hold on him, and had even caused him to use a word he despised and had told the person he called such was fallacious, but they had not had a hold on him that could match the love, the true love, of two people that Severus held dear. That one of those people would help put him back together was not all too much a surprise.
Midsummer Night’s Dream was a fun play and the fairy lines often sprinkled themselves in conversations between Severus and Lily when the two were feeling playful, especially those of Puck who was the very character of the tom fool sprite. The two often spoke in Shakespeare, sometimes if only to confuse the purebloods around them, sometimes because it was as much their language as the shorthand they wrote their potions notes in. The gender of the character speaking the lines never mattered to them, in Shakespeare’s time there were sometimes ladies pretending to be men pretending to be ladies pretending to be men and so such a distinction seemed just…silly.
There would always be warm beds for Lily and Lilith in Spinner’s End. In a way, Severus was returning the favour, had been since before he and Lily had crossed the line into lovers, being that Lily’s parents had so often provided him shelter when things were not so rosy. Of course, there was also the fact that they were family and that was something that would have been the case whatever his relationship to Lily had been, she and her children he would not turn away, Lilith or her brothers. He could sense that she was getting twitchy and it would certainly be good to move on some time soon to somewhere she could use that energy, and of course some place that she and the kitten could do more than sit together in. He nodded as Lily spoke, “The heart is where passion comes from, and it is the strongest organ to be able to hold it, but it is also the weakest if it is abused.” He knew that all too well, as much as he knew that it was also bad fore the heart to allow arguments to linger and fester. It was certainly good that the kitten was distracting her given the attention that the man across the way had been paying to her. Even with him preoccupied with the coffee in his lap, his thoughts had turned towards unsavoury things.
Severus nodded as Lily spoke of school and needed grades, “The grades required may seem steep, but they are well within your grasp if you work at them. You already have a knack for potions that I wish some third years would show and I don’t doubt that you will be your mother’s daughter when it comes to charms.” There was still a lot of hard work to do, especially as Severus allowed only those who earned top grades to take advanced potions, but it was work he was confidant that Lilith would do. There were also talents that could not be denied. He was glad that the cats had worked out so well even if there was still a disinterested air from the cats towards himself similar to that he had feigned towards them. Of course they were not nuisances, but they were also not to be his, nor he theirs as was more accurate. Severus stifled a smile at Lily’s ditty, though the corners of his mouth did twitch, even with the man on the other table souring things it was good for him to be around the girls who were so important to him, “The cats look happier than when they followed me also so that can only be good. I would say that I like Shadow as a name also, it suits him, though excuse me if I don’t sing a ditty.”
He wasn’t that put out that Myrtle still teased him, “Yes, she does ask after you, and she is still agreeable company towards those that don’t tease or patronise her.” It did annoy him that some people seemed to be of the impression that ghosts had no feelings. Myrtle was still really a teenage girl for all what her true age was. He would slip into her bathroom when he was on patrol and heard her crying, it was all a friend could really do, and of course a friend was sometimes all that was needed as he well knew. She was also always welcome in the dungeon, whether just to be there or to talk and recite stories between them when there was no one around.
Severus knew that his words over the man would make things little better, but she needed to know given that he had confirmed her darker thoughts towards him. His words were soft but also fierce, “Yes, it is better than he deserves, and I would quite happily do more. But it is everlasting, I made sure of that, and doesn’t draw attention to us.” He was quietly seething, though he made an effort to draw himself out of it. It was true that he would not allow Lily to do anything more. He did not worry for her later conscience on the matter, but he was concerned over her being banned from her favourite coffee place over such a lowlife. He brought out a laugh over there being likely plenty to fix up with the home that sounded natural enough to one that didn’t know his moods, “You say that with such little confidence in my housekeeping skills. Mother would be appalled if I allowed it to fall into a state of disrepair.” He nodded, “A walk and time in the park sounds like a good idea, though your mother is territorial over her swing.” He said the latter with tongue very much in cheek and subtly dodged out of immediate swiping range. Lily had put her name on the bottom of her swing, it was still there and Severus knew that he was only borrowing it when he sat on it when she was away. “Of course, any help with a potion would be useful, but it would be no worse if you needed to sleep, there is plenty of room and a warm bed for you.” In defence of his housekeeping, the bedrooms had all been prepared and only needed Lilith to decide where she wanted to sleep.
Severus had tested more than one spell on Peter, though not his harmful one, that had been trickier to perfect being as he had not believed in using live targets. Peter had deserved everything he got though, and Severus suspected he deserved a whole lot more. He sniffed, “Anything residing under my beds would be better to be wary of your mother, I know, and they would certainly be more than a little wary of me. But yes, kittens are very good at keeping those without the brains to know better away.” Getting Severus to his first, and only, ball had been a tas in itself, let alone Lilith, and it had required Lily being very Slytherin about it, though he quite agreed that it would be better for Lilith to get through that before considering being a mother. Severus felt it best not to list the ingredients that would turn a person blue and lightly rolled his eyes at the study buddy comment, “You make it sound like only you gained something from that.”
Severus would not put it past Nox to think that any separate padding on the wall was decoration and To Be Avoided, it was why he had padded the whole wall, Nox had no choice but to hit it. Othello was almost dignified, and certainly winced at some of Nox’s behaviour. He was also older and had to more or less single wingedly keep Severus together at one point. He still let Severus know when he wasn’t eating or sleeping enough. Severus and Lily had taken sport in confusing the purebloods with Shakespeare. It had certainly been a subtle rebellion against those who felt they had no right being together, though they had grown into the roles of Romeo and Juliet there and Severus hoped that they would not take that line to its completion. The dagger and the potions were certainly unsettling if looked at in the wrong way. They could only do what they could now with no buts or what ifs, that was just how it had to be.
He nodded as Lily spoke of Cora, “A direct comparison cannot truly be made, Chasers and Seekers have little to do with each other, but I did once see Cora play chicken with a bludger that wound up knocking James off his broom as a result.” Severus allowed Lily and Lilith to talk of Lily’s friends without much further interruption, in some cases it was a sore point though he could stand Remus. He nodded as she spoke of learning, “We always learn, as should be. I shall happily teach anyone with the mind to learn, it is what turns the role of Professor sometimes from a job into a pleasure.” He noticed Lily’s look towards the man and finished off his salad, “But for now, I think that shopping and trip to the park is in order if we are all finished eating.”.

Lilith had only gotten the thought of coming back as a ghost from her mother, she'd said it before. But she meant it too, just she never wanted to leave her mother. Maybe it was just her speaking as a child, but still she knew she loved her mother, what more did she need to know? She just wanted to be with her and close to her forever. She didn't know what lay on the other side either, an too like her mother didn't want to find out. But knew between now and then she'd never be alone. She didn't want to thnk about the end, but rather about the now and the life. Even at eight she had fears and thoughts and the longing desire to never be alone. She'd never experinced death first hand, or not that she remembered.
She was happy to have the best of both worlds, even at her age she knew it was good thing. Her mother being muggle born gave her the world of muggles, that experince and the understanding of them, of herself. From her father's side she had magical blood. She was a witch because of them both she couldn't imagine being anything but, or not being half. Sure Pureblood was fine too, her father was pure, but she liked being the mix that she was it gave her the best of both worlds. Family for Lilith was here world too. Her mother was everything to her. Even Severus, because her mother and he were close. She'd known him all her life that she could remember. Even his mother had been in her life, though she didn't remember her at all she had been there too. Lilith had just been a little thing, so wasn't lucky enough to know either of her grandparents on either side. But she knew her mother and Severus were always there for her. While it should have been James, that she saw as there such wasn't the case, she was closest to who she was around, that being her mother and Severus. A shrugh came at her mother's words she didn't doubt her in the least simply didn't get it. "I see both worlds though, I guess I don't see it like someone just raised in one." She said a little confused yet too in away could get it. She was young there were things from both worlds that even she growing up in both and still questioned. Maybe that was it. "Yea maybe.. kinda like that tv back there, with those flying fairies.. with the wild hair right?" Lilith made a face, she didn't like the image that came to mind with it the thought of her mother not there any more. "You'll always be there for me mommy.. always." She told her. Lilith had her fears too, but she was young hers weren't as well hidden as they were for her mother. But still she was confident when she was around.
'A Midsummer's Night Dream' had been a favorite of Lilith's she like Puck, his name was funny and the little fairys sounded cute. She imagined them having really soft voices yet almost with a 'tinkle' as they spoke like bells perhaps. She was well taught by her mother and by Severus in many ways. Sitting there across from them she was almost fighting to stay in her seat, lest she squirm on out of it. Smiling at her mother she almost grinned from ear to ear. She loved her mother, and was proud and happy to be her daughter. Tipping her head slightly she listened to her mother's explination of Severus' words. She mouthed 'oh' then added aloud. "I think I get it now." She told them with a smile. Then let her eyes fall once more to the black kitten in her lap. He was a wonderful distraction, not from the two she sat with, by any stretch but from the eyes she felt stareing at her. Though a giggled escaped her at her mother's rhyme, "That's cute mommy." She replied then added with almost a purr to her voice. "Shadow... I like that name its perfect for you." she told him. Lilith glanced up from her furry friend, her mother was still touching her locket. She wondered if perhaps the deer was running around somewhere, but not likely here, so it had to do perhaps with the man inside behind them. She was making her nervious, surely that made her mother nervious too. A swat from a furry paw, made Lilith giggle, she looked back to the kitten there and dangled the torn napkin once more.
"I'll always need you mommy." Lilth told her happily. She smiled too, at her mother's smile and the blurred memory of the rocker. She wished she could be in her mother's lap right now with the soft creak of the rocker as it moved and the gentle loving embrace of her mother. "E and O.." She repeated. "That shouldn't be too hard. I can do it, 'cause I've got the two best professors helping me." She said to them both with a smile. Petting the kitten lightly, she listened to the faint purr and got lost in it. Nodding a little, "Aww, poor mommy.. we'll help you though.. Charlie and me, we'll look after the kitties." She assured her mother. Though giggled at the menton of moving into Magical Meingeries, that might be fun, but she didn't say anything of it. "I kinda like frogs, they're a really pretty green.. when they're real I mean. But like that they way the hop is cute." Came her explination for like them. Though she was like her mother she did enjoy fruits and veggies, but she did have a certian sweet-tooth too. Pulling her drink to her she too a drink, there wasn't much. She frowned a little it didn't last long enough, yet that was likely good if she had any more she'd twitch out of the chair for sure. "Shadow.." Lilith half purred the name. The kitten mewed and swated at her hand, just as she started to speak to him her mother went on. Looking up at her she listened. Giggles escaped her lips at the little rhyme and a bright smile all at once as her mother called her Pookie. "That's funny mommy.. I'll have to find him lots of string and ribbons he can chase." She said then looked to the kitten.. to Shadow!
Teaseing him a little more she smiled at him as he mewed and crouched down before leaping for it. She jerked it up so that he missed, he fell back down looking at the napkin as if it were evil. Lilith held Snowbear close so that her little Shadow wouldn't fall as she teased him again though this time she let him catch it once more. He pulled a piece off and pounced on it, nipping at it only to make a face as the napkin touched his tongue. Lilith giggled at him as she waved the rest of the napkin over his head, which he promply made a leap for. She listened to them talking but didn't jump in. She wasn't sure if she should, and besides the kitten she had was to cute to take her eyes away from.
Her eyes stayed in the kitten mostly, though on occasion they rose to her mother and Severus. That man was still there, even with coffee dripping from his pants. Glancing at him, he for once wasn't stareing at her but rather his soaked pants. She eyed him hard for the moment she was tempted to do something.. or try, she wasn't sure if she could, she'd never tried anything from a distance before. Looking away, she looked once more to her mother and Seversus, wondering just then if perhaps they'd done all of it. The whole coffee thing, they would protect her she knew that. Plus some of what they were saying made the theory of them doing logical at least to her. Smiling at her mother looking to her, she knew she was being talked about now. "Can I help fix it?" She asked sounding hopeful. Shrugging, "I don't know, right now I'm just hyper, but mommy said I'd crash later." She told him of helping with potions or sleep. Right now sleep didn't sound likely. She smiled brighter, if that were possible. "The park? As where you two were in that picture?" She questioned pointing to her mother's locket. "Aww, I can't use your swing mommy?" She asked with a giggle but didn't mind really. Shifting Lilith squirmed a little turning in her chair so that her body faced them both now. Nodding lightly, "That sound fun mommy." She said with an excited child-like voice.
Lilith didn't know Peter, that she knew of. Had she known him she likely wouldn't like him ether. Very likely just because her mother didn't. A lot of what she thought affected what she thought. She listened to and respected her mother's views. So the feelings for Peter on he rmother's half was likely justifed. As for Cora, she knew her, that was her 'Momma Cora' as her mom called her. She liked her Lilith had known her since she was little so was quite use to and accepting of the woman. It was pure trust, just as it was with her mother, but on a much deeper level. Her mother had never hurt her, she never would. She only protected her. As she did with that spider and as she was now with this man stareing at her. She was unease under his gaze when he was looking at her, but knew with her mom around he wouldn't get close. No mater what his motive she was safe. Content and able to learn in a safe and loving enviornment Lilith had the best of both worlds. She could learn and explore as she wanted.
Her head tipped slightly to the side as her mother moved closer. She smiled and giggled a little. "Nothing would dare hurt me!" She said almost sing-song. Blinking she gave her mother a questioning look, "A little bitty kitten against a bed lurking aligator?" She questioned, looking down at the black kitten that was a funny image. Even as Severus spoke she nodded, "No I don't think the would either, not sure how he'd do, She said pointing to Shadow, "But I don't doubt you.. I know you and mommy wouldn't let anyone or anything hurt me." She didn't doubt her mother or Severus in the least, she doubted her little Shadow would fair against what she thought lived under her bed. But knew both would protect her. Shaking her head in a 'no' she agreed. "I won't mommy promise. I want to learn all I can before I even consider any of that stuff." She told her. Smiling at Severus she nodded lightly, he was smart from what Lilith saw and he was a great friend to her mother. Giggling her gaze once more shifted to her mother. Listening to them was sort of like watching a game of ping-pong her eyes kept shifting between what drew her attention, from Shadow to her mother back to Shadow then to Severus to her mother and back again. Watching her mom, she smiled. "I like that movie. Veruca Salt was my favorite of the girls. I think 'cause I just like the song the Umpa Lumpa's did... Who do you blame when your kid is a brat? Pampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat.." She sang a bit with a giggle. The movie was funny but she liked it. The Umpa Lumpa's were the best part. "I still think that potion might be fun though.. It'd be fun for Halloween walking around all blue like a blueberry. I wouldn't even need a costume really, just that." Still twitching slightly it grew a bit so that she might twitch right out of her chair soon. One leg shook as it hung off the chair. Shadow stood on the leg that was still his front paws on Lilith's chest. She pet him with one hand giggling a little when he licked her. A quick glance at her mother and Severus as almost mentally if they could stop sitting around. She was hyper now, and it took all she had to stay in that chair.
Nodding a little, "I know mommy. You do a good job at it, being a mommy." She told her. Shrugging lightly, "True, but still brothers.. I'm the girl I don't want to rough house or any of that stuff. I'd rather read or play with my plush toys.." She replied, then smiled, "Ice Cream is good.. just not today or any time soon. I think I might fly up Mr. Snape's roof if I have any more sugar." Smiling a little Lilith liked Cora she was sweet."Dad is obessed with it. I think he'd sleep with that old dirty broom if it'd fit in the bed." She giggled. She didn't know much if any of James' trouble making days just what little she'd heard between Severus and her mother. "I've meet him right? Mr. Lupin, or just hear you and Mr. Snape talking about him. Being a one might not be so bad except I think you might get fleas running around like that." Lilith didn't know any of James' friends, that she knew of, maybe Remus but she didn't think she knew Peter, she didn't like the sound of him so that was likely best. Poking at her coffee cup with one it was empty, which was good she'd fly right out of her chair if she had any more. "Someday I want to be as smart as you and Mr. Snape." She told her then nodded eagerly, "Oh I will promise! You'll teach me to Mr. Snape right? It'd be fun learning from you both." Nodding again, "Yea doesn't sound fun, Myrtle would rather be like us I bet. Being able to move through things doesn't seem like it'd always be fun." She replied as she stood up holding Shadow and Snowbear close to her. The kitten purred in her ear as he lingered on her shoulder. The man behind her forgotten for now as she squirmed a little where she stood eager to move as she nodded in agreement to Severus she was more than ready to go her.
