It was another rainy day. The sun never reached it'd peak this for the clouds held control over it. As light scattered showers fell over the city. But now the sky was black as if it were nite. Rain poured heavily from the inky blackness. Rain usually meant boredom for all kids. But not for little Lilith. She rather liked the rain, it meant being indoors. That was fine to Lilith though, her house had lots of fun things to play with and places to explore. She was a child who could amuse herself quite easily. Said amusement usually came in the form of her mother's closet.
Today proved no exception. With the rain pouring outside, going out on the rope swing was out of the question. Her mother would never allow it. Which was fine for Lilith she wouldn't have gone out in the rain anyways. Not when there were so many interesting things indoors.
With a light giggle Lilith ran up to the closet door and pulled it open with a light squeak of the hinges. She went for the shoes first. Grabbing a pair she pulled them on, they went up well past her knees. She giggled as she tried move not easily, but managed all the same. Next came a long flowing scarf, even throwing it around her neck a few times at eight it hung on her past the hem of her sun dress. Lilith giggled at herself backing up to clothes the closet door and shuffled her feet towards the dresser. Opening it she pulled out a pair of long formal gloves. With a bit of a struggle she managed to get one on, it came up around her armpits and still bunched. As she went about getting on the second a sudden loud clap of thunder caught her by surprise, she jumped and fell over with a thud. She was all giggles as she sat there on the floor with her head, against the side of her parent's bed. She was so glad the boring boys were out. It meant when her mother came they could play dress up and laugh without the boys getting in the way.
She was a sight sitting there on the floor her mother's boots waving lightly on her feet, the scarf around her pink neck matched her light blue 'rose petal' sun dress. Even the white skort she wore beneath it looked nice. If only she could have gotten up she'd have gone to show her mother. But she knew she wouldn't be far, not with the sound of a 'thud' and the giggles that irrupted, from her thin pale pink lips.

Up with the sun that should have risen but didn't the red haired witch had not bothered to try to get back to sleep. There was no real need to seek comfort where there was no comfort to be had. She had peered out the window in the living room. Watching the darkened gloom give away to the lighter gray gloom of the day. Rain pattered against the windows like the angels were crying and Lily pressed her palm for a moment allowing her mind to drift back to the point when she'd been a little girl. Her parents had always told her that. When she had been sad she couldn't get out and go to the park to play. The house for now was silent but soon would be a buzz. James would be out early and than there was having to take Harry shopping school was looming. There was also her having to get prepared to teach Charms at Hogwarts. Lily could always Floo Home when she wasn't in classes so she could be with her other children until the time they arrived there came. It was only a matter of time Lily knew both of them were bright especially her youngest who was already show promise. She had left the little girl tucked in with her polar bear. A large snuggly affair that she had gotten for Christmas. The first sounds of movement upstairs told her that people were awake. So she slipped off to fix a quick breakfast for her family.
Even on a rainy day, Lily found herself and Lilith the only two in the House by afternoon. She thought Lithe had slept in and so she was sitting in the small little nook that she concidered her place in all the house. Writting notes in her journal. The flowing but girlish script that was her's across the page. Had she heard something overhead ? Lily paised and tipped her head to the side her tea cup in hand. Her closet had a distinct sound when she opened it. Lily pressed her lips lightly. Maybe Lithe was awake. She'd need to see if the girl needed to have breakfast. So she was already getting up bare feet padding across the carpeting as she made her way upstairs. However the sudden thump gave her steps haste, and she darted down the hallway following the childish giggling that had followed. She paused in the doorway to her bed room to see her youngest in one of the dresses from her closet and her mother's high boots. Lily couldn't hide her smile. No matter how much she wanted too be stern with the little girl. The way her eyes lit up and the fact she had found something to amuse herself. Full lips quirked slightly up to the side and her red curl fells into her eyes as she stepped into the room. "Well, look at here won't you." she said "Still a little young to be filling your mother's boot." she said with a giggle discarding her robe over the end of her bed. She was dressed in a long sleeved flowing night gown that had little pearly buttons that looked like something from a fairy tale.
"So are we playing dress up than ?" she asked moving to her opened closet and riffling through it. "I will take it my invitation to come play got lost in the mail ?" an single eye brow rose as she regaurded the little girl. She unzipped some of her most fancy dress's old Yule Dress's. Things she wore out and tossed them into a pile on the bed. Than moved to her vanity to get the jewelry box that say there as well. placing that on the bed. Sweeping her daughter into her arms she placed her on the bed. "The key to walking in these. Is to lace them up properly."[/pink] she said. She didn't add get a few more inches in height, and a bit bigger feet. This was make believe after all. Tired of moving about to get things. Lily flicked her wand at the dressed and one of her drawers floated over to her. "Of course you'll want the make up too. I have a sparkly green eye shadow in London recently that you might like." she said as she set about using the mirror to make herself up. The dark eyeliner making her already bright green eyes, brighter. She canted them at the edge of the almond shape and blinked to adjust. "And now you ?" she offered warmly. Lily had grown up because she had too but there was still something of the little red haired girl in her that had always wanted to fly.
Nothing better to do on a Rainy Day than be wistful and enjoy it she suspected. A hand brushed over her daughter's long hair. Not the same shade as her own by any means.

With her mother's polar bear snuggled and held close to her Lilith was still sleeping happily. Content with her mother's bear. It was likely her favorite toy. Even if not really hers, Lilth still loved it. Soon though the pelts of rain hitting her window woke her up. With a sigh, young Lilith lingered in bed still. She liked to lay there and let her mind wonder. Sometimes out playing in the rain running between the drops. Or that the rain was an orchastra, playing with the thunder as the percusion. Lilith liked the rain, it was fun to watch and listen too. She just wasn't fond of being out in it, it made her cold. But even that wasn't bad it meant she could curl up in her mother's lap. With sigh Lilith finally opened her eyes as she smells of her mother's cooking lofted to her nose. ' Maybe I can get some of Mommy's coffee.' She thought to herself as she through off the covers. But still she didn't rush down stairs. She waited father and brother left. So it was just her and her mother.
She didn't realize it, but she'd fallen back to sleep lulled by the rain. Finally seh rolled out of bed. Kissing mother's bear on the head then had went to her mother's room. She loved playing dress up. The best part was her mother often played with her. So she knew she'd never be scowled for being a lil girl. Even as Litith tried to be quiet with the door she knew she'd likely fail her mother's closet door always made noise. She didnt care though, her mother would find her up here. Once on the floor in the high boots, Litith tried and failed to get up. She heard her mother coming quickly up and smiled. Her tongue flicking lightly between her teeth as she looked at her mother. "Hello mommy." She said in greeting, then nodded a little "I'll get there someday!" Then she turned a little and followed her mother's movements with her eyes. Lilth thought she was the most mother ever! She certinally was the best.
Lilith nodded in a 'yes' as she peered around the bed to watch her mother. "I couldn't find Nix." She told her. Though she hadn't looked, her mother would find her here, she always did. Smiling as her mother picked her up. Lilith managed to hug her before she was placed on the bed. One boot fell off with a thud to the floor. "Will that will work? I think I'd have to tie them around my neck to keep them on." She giggled As she watched her mother pull out her wand. Lilth smiled and watched. "Yes please green!" She nodded happily. "Ooooh your eyes are brighter with that!" Lilith told her mother. She was already pretty, and only made prettier by the green. With an egar nod Lilth tipped her foot and let the other boot fall off and moved closer to her mother.
Smiling loving up at her mother, as she brushed her hand over her hair. The young girl thought nothing of her hair, just assuming she had her father's. It didn't matter to her, she was her '' mommy's daughter ''. Lilith moved then into her mother's lap. She had to agree nothing was better than time spent with her mother.

Time is a wheel in constant motion Always rolling us along Tell me who Wants to look back on there years and wonder Where Those Years have Gone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That her polarbear had gone missing again was no big surprise it wasn't in the chair by the window where it usually sat. Lily had other stuffed animals she liked by that one was one of her favorites of course. Still if it was not there it was with Lilith her son's didn't touch her stuffed animals they were good hearted kids. She knew Harry was destined for Gryffindor the boy was very much like her. She sighed softly. They grew up so fast that was the only problems with her babies. They were good kids they just well..it seemed sprouted up over night. Even her last born was looking at Hogwarts in a scant three years, her older brother in two. Three children and she didn't look any worse for wear she supposed she should be greatful about that. She looked down to what she had been writing in her journal .
And it seems to me that every day the children are more and more grown. Its a fear they will grow up too fast. Forget all about me. I know its foolish, and I know I shouldn't even think such things. I want them to be children before there adults. I never lost my sense of wonder I can still see through there eyes and I can still laugh and ooo and ah at magic that even I know the trick of. Maybe the problem isn't other's haven't grown up..maybe its me ? I could possiably be the one who--- at that her quill was set beside the book to head upstairs and look in on her daughter who could have only been the one making noise unless someone was foolish enough to break into her house. She haulted and bit her lip. It would have been very foolish because Lily would certainly defend her children with her life, and when she threw a hex, people knew it. One could have asked Bellatrix the one time they tangled. Lily wasn't a bad witch. She was just too caring but once you broke her concern for others..well things went south from there. So on sneakier feet than she meant she went creeping upstairs. Greatly thankful that it was just her daughter at play and not some unknown person or Deatheater.Honestly. She was playing a dangerous game she knew alot and that was something that could get her killed. Only because she was a confidant and beloved to the father of the little girl she peeked in on not that anyone had asked her directly.
"You'll have your own boots to fill when your older baby..you won't need mine." she said as she beamed at her only girl. "though you can play in mine anytime you want, at least until your feet are full grown. You might not have the same size as me. " she wiggled her toes which were bare on the floor. Her gaze traveling over the little girl she was still sleep mused her hair was a mess. Lily tossed her hair over her shoulders. As she settled on the bed with Lilith. "Okay, you want to put makeup on before you get dressed. The key to this is that you do not want to have it sprinkling down on what your wearing especially if your wearing white. Since that will show brightly. You know I favor white..its a lovely color." she winked at her. Though she'd lain all colors of gowns onto the foot of the bed so Lithie could pick and choose through them to her hearts content. It wasn't like the dresses were important when Lily often went about in jeans and a tee-shirt of flowing skirt even at the best of times. She could be feminine without being a totally girly girl since Lily would never be that.
"Nox is probly well..who knows where Nox is he could be anywhere." she laughed very softly. "I think that he's around here somewhere..he might be sleeping in my hat again. He doesn't like landing on his perch." she shrugged her shoulders slightly. "Just watch out for him if you get into my hats." she told her. Lily was the type of mother who felt her clothes and her jewelry were just that things that were there to be explored and played with, what good were they in a box on her vanity collecting dust ? The only thing she realy wore was a charmed locket on a chain around her neck. That required an actual password to open. It was a scroll worked heart that could hold something and was set with her birthstone. She wore it usually so there was no real playing with it. She smiled and nodded."Oh, of course...all you have to do is stuff socks into the boot until it fits good." she said "Than you lace it up good!" she added though paid no mind when they fell of tiny feet. Lily set her wand in her lap as she leaned closer to her and tipped her face up. "Now don't blink I am going to line your eyes at the edges only, your too young for full liner also it might sting." she said giving her the same little peeks at the corner. Than she dropped her hand into the makeup going by feel to retrieve the color she needed. Lily had a excellent memory. It was a sparkling green and she next grabbed a small brush from the kit and lightly feathered the color just across her eyelids and than did the same for herself with a silvery color. The silver she dusted than under Lilith's eyes and the green under hers at the sides so they wore opposite make up. "You have soft skin so no need of a foundation maybe later you will but right now not at all." she held up a soft rose and a pale pink. "Which blush ?" she asked with a grin. "Oh, and lipstick I have pink, coral, peach , clear sparkly. she set those out she also had black but wasn't about to let Lithie go emo on her at eight.
Lily produced her hair brush as well and sat that next to her wand. "I think I will give myself curls today, what about you ?' she asked with a fond grin. Still waiting for the other colors to be chosen so she could finish up with Lilith's make up. "Other than dress up we should both eat, I waited up for you. James and the boys are already out and about. Quidditch supplies I think." she chuckled. "I only liked Quidditch because you Cora mum played." she winked.

If the polarbear wasn't where it usually was, it could mean only one thing, that Lilith had it. Though the little girl had her own toys, and so too did her mother the plush animals. But 'Snowbear' as Lilth called the loveable plush teddy. By far of both of their toys together. The polarbear was Lilith's favorite. When it came to Gryffindor or Slytherin, even Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. Lilith didn't care where she ended up. In reality she didn't want to go at all. She wanted to stay home with her mother not be locked up in some ol' school with her brother. In her mother's room she felt safe. She had no worries of getting hurt or even in to too much trouble. She felt safe there. So when her mother came Lilith smiled happily to her.
"Okay." She replied seeming to be quieted for the time of the boots by that answer. "Oh, good." Smiling bightly with a light giggles. Lilith loved playing with her mother's clothes. "Aww, I hope I am. Then maybe we can still share clothes." Came her reply as she glanced to her mother's bare feet. Lilith had on toe socks. Striped black white and gray. Snuggling next to her mother she smiled and nodded at her words listening carefully and with great interest. "You look pretty in white." She told her mother. Lilith had more than favorite color, she couldn't pick. Green, Orange, Purple, and Black. They had no order she just liked them all. Just as her mother wasn't girly girl nither was Lilith but she could dress up if she had too. Otherwise she always wore a pair of skorts. Under her sundresses. Because they were easier to play in.
"Nox is silly but we love him." Lilith giggled lightly. Nodding that she understood, she added, "I like your witchy hat. That's my favorite." Lilith had only known one type of mother, hers. She knew of no other way. She thought all mothers were like hers, shareing clothes and jewlery. Lilith liked the charmed locket her mother always wore. She liked to hold it in her hand, when she was younger and even still sometimes, when she clung around her neck. "Socks?" Lilith giggled at the thought. "I'd have to have a lot of socks. An' I still don't think lacing would help." She told her mother, still giggling. Lilith eyed her mother's wand as she lay it down. But knew better than to touch it, besides just then her mother touched her face. Trying not blink she lingered there still. "Okay.." Came a soft reply, it tickled a little so she was trying not to laugh. "We're opposite mommy." Lilith pointed out when her mother had finished around her eyes. "Fondation.. That's what you put on first right? Before all the powder stuff?" She asked. Looking at the blushes, her head tipped to the side a bit "Uh.. that one." She pointed to the soft rose. Lilith thougth a moment on the lipstick. She knew her mother had black, didn't ask it. "Sparkles!" Lilith replied happily.
Lilith shook her head letting her dark hair muss up even more then giggled. "You can pick." She told her. "I thought it was quite. What'd you fix?" She asked. Then nodded and added, "I just like the Golden Snitch, I bet its fun to play with." She giggled.

Time is a wheel in constant motion Always rolling us along Tell me who Wants to look back on there years and wonder Where Those Years have Gone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Polarbear was not Lily's favorite she still had a small stuffed bunny with sewn on eyes that looked hand made and had been a gift ages ago back when she was in school. She never mentioned who had given her it. So Lily didn't mind so much, if she'd gotten the little bunny she'd have taken that away because it was precious to Lily. Her mother was certain that there would be no worries fo Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff because of her heritage. Her father's house was Slytherin, and her mother's Gryffindor so Lily knew it would come down between those two. It was a conversation in the late of night that she had, had with Severus. He wanted her in Gryffindor because he worried for her being in his house. If she would have knows that Lilith didn't want to go to the school she'd have groaned. Since she had a good idea that the girl was going to have a fit and refuse to go sit on the sorting chair and Lily would have to cart her over there and put her on the chair. That would certainly be embaressing to say the least. Seeing the Charm's Professor carrying her youngest child across the floor. Never doubt Lily would do it. However she was pretty sure Lilith Scarlet Potter being called across the room would certainly going to make a scene. Worse if things had become public knowledge since Lily didn't know how long they could even keep the secret. Lily had a sneaking feeling the hat would know that Lilith was Severus's.
"Well you know I don't mind you can play in my clothes as much as you want." she told her and smiled at the little girl. "even when your older." she told her again smiling at her and brushing a hand through her hair. "I don't want us to grow apart like so many girls do from there mothers." she whispered softly. "All time is so precious because you never know how much time you'll have we grow up and move on and things change." she told her. Lily smiled when she said that she was pretty in white. "Well thank you dear." she said "I enjoy white." she told her and kissed her cheek."You look lovely in all kinds of pastels. " she told her with a grin. Lily didn't mind the clothes that her little girl wore. What ever made her happy. Unless there was a reason behind it. Lily could still be caught in bell bottoms and a tunic blouse under her robes so there was no need to worry about it. She could still pass for years younger than she was. It was just her luck that and the fact she was thought to be very beautiful.
"Nox is not silly." she said as she shook her head with a giggle. "Nox is...special." Lily began delicately. "I like my witchy hat too." she said as she winked at her. "I had alot of magic as a little girl." she said "I think you will too very soon." she told her. Even when her daughter's hands went to the locket around her neck Lily tensed a little bit and glanced down at her. "Mommy keeps it locked because its special, like a secret inside you know." she offered softly. Lily leveled her wand at the bedroom door gave a swish and tapped the air once the door glowed briefly and locked. "There we go." she said as she brought her fingers to the locket and gripped the heart which opened for her slightest touch. It had been crafted for her and a gift. Inside there was a picture which she let Lithie see. "This is one of my special memories." she said to the little girl. "See Severus is my best friend, and was always my best friend even when we were little kids." she said she pulled the locket over her head and out of her hair. She set the silvery locket into her daughters hands so she could see the PICTURE.Lily just gave her a look and shook her head slightly. "Trust you mum." she said "I know how to stuff shoes." she giggled. "Never had to stuff anything else luckily." she smirked "Yet, when you get to that age I will show you how to do that too. Though your not dating until your forty or I'm dead." she nodded at the pointing "Yes we are."
she agreed of the opposition. "Thats right." she nodded "I don't need to worry about that I rarely bother with foundation of course I have the complexion for it." she said Lily added the extra coloring to her daughter and than herself using her thumb to smooth it. "Ok relaxe your lips ." she told her "Now pucker" she nodded. Putting a light layer on her daughter, she used the soft pink herself. "Curls work for you too." she nodded "Pancakes." she answered "I will fix you what ever you want." she told her with a grin. At the mention of quidditch though she frowned. "I don't think that I care very much for that anymore. " she murmured "Your other mum Cora played in school as she was amazing." she explained "James also played in school and I think Harry will likely be just as good. He's fast in the back yard." she tapped her fingers to her locket. 'I can show you that place if you like sometime." By far 'Snowbear' was Lilith's favorite. The little plush bunny was cute with it's sewn eyes and handmade looks, but perhaps it was that look that made it seem precious, to much so to be touched perhaps? Or perhaps the size? the polarbear was just so much bigger and more fun to snuggle with, Lilith wasn't sure but still it was her favorite of the toys. Of Hogwarts Lilith still had a few years, she would go she didn't figure she had much in the way of choice. It was tradition. But one thing was known. She wouldn't be a baby about it. She'd go on here own, without being forced, or too wthout her full name yelled out through the Great Hall. As of yet, Lilith knew nothing of her 'real' father. While she didn't think she was anything like James, she certinally didn't look like him. And she didn't act like her brothers. She was a '' momma's girl '' anyways. She didn't care what the boys thought of her.
"Thanks mommy." Lilith smiled brightly at her. Her eyes closed under her mother's gentle hand. "I love you mommy." She said then nodded. "I want us to always be friends. I don't want to grow apart." She told her hugging her lightly, she only nodded to the rest but agreed. "White and light stuff is really easy to get dirty though." Lilith said with a knowing giggle then added, "I like the light greens and blues." To Lilith it was more about comfort. While she wore dresses, she often wore something under them to play in. But she could be a little girly to at times. Lilith thought her mother was the most beautiful ever. She didn't look old to her, she was young and perfect. The young girl saw no fault in her.
Giggingly slightly Lilith started to protest but didn't. "Speacial yes. We love him though." She said and nodded as her mother spoke of the hat. "I love the way it fits, an the long point.." Her head tiped a little to the side, "When is 'very soon'?" She asked. Lilith hadn't even realized her hand had touched the locket until she her mother tense. Looking up at her with apoligentic eyes, she said nothing as her mother spoke. She nodded lightly. Her silvery eyes followed the point of her mother's wand, they moved with each movement then lingered on the glow of the door only until her mother spoke. Lilith's attention turned back to her. She looked almost in awe as the locket opened. Wow.." She breathed softly looking at the picture nodding. Her eyes followed the locket as her mother took it off. As she moved as if the let her hold the locket Lilith's hands insantly came together. She held the locket gently as one might an egg or a butterfly. "How old are you here?" Lilith asked looking from the picture to her mother then back. Her eyes lingering longer on Severus' face before she finally let them fall back upon her mother. She said nothing. Nodding lightly. Of course she trusted her mother. She giggled a little, "What else has to be stuffed?" She asked, then added, "If all boys are like brothers you don't have to worry about that mommy." Lilith told her matter-of-factly. Nodding again at the foundation, she knew a little from what she'd be taught or learned by watching. "You look pretty even without make-up." As she tried not to move as her mother smoothed the make-up. After that she'd quickly done as her mother told her sitting still again.
Smiling, and nodding in agreement. Shaking her head in a 'no' "Oh no, your pancakes a good! With blueberries and extra butter!" She saw her mother's smile then watch as it turned to a frown. "Aww.. mommy don't be sad." She frowned too. Lilith didn't really understand the game, she just liked watching the balls, especially the Golden Snitch fly about. Nodding a little as her mother spoke Lilith wasn't sure what to say, if she sound be sad or amused. As her mother touched the locket Lilith looked down at it again for a second then lifted it back up to her. "Only if you want. I don't know really if I like all that Quidditch stuff it seems kinda violent. Like I said I just like the Golden Snitch."

Time is a wheel in constant motion Always rolling us along Tell me who Wants to look back on there years and wonder Where Those Years have Gone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The bunny had been a gift from Severus before they had even gotten to Hogwarts it was something she held to for all the years she was in school and out. It had always resided on her bed and it would always be there on anything she slept on. The small thing had seen her through several colds. Morning sickness and the flu. Lilith would have been right to assume she didn't have any choice, since Lily would not allow her to stay home. No she was going to go to the school too. It was a privilage to recieve a letter. Lily had gotten flutters of de ja vu when Harry had gotten his. It had made her proud very proud. She was certain all her children would be going. It was just a matter of when. Lilith was going to be a very good witch. It was in her blood after all. Lily was just going to have to steer her away from the Dark Arts. Lily was certain her daughter would behave if only from fear of full naming in the middle of the Great Hall and having all the other students knowing her full name. Lily would give her the Snowbear to take with her to Hogwarts when it came her time to go. She just hadn't told her that yet.
"Your welcome dear." she said as she looked down on her and leaned foward to brush a kiss across her youngests brow. "I love you too and I always will. No matter what happens." she told her. She beamed "You'll grow up and you'll grow on, but I don't think we'll drift apart I promise to always be there even if I have to return as a ghost." she reassured her and tugged her close to hug her. It made her want to tell her that her father loved her too and that he would always care for her as well. She couldn't not yet it made her a little sad. Since it had to be hard to have another man raise your child and call it his. Lily tried to make sure that they at least spent a little time together. Still it was cute to see her and Severus together they had similar gestures. Not the same just similar.Lily nodded "Well I have a nice green dress I've never worn." she told her "Its got a flowy skirt and I think you can dress up in that one." she nodded her head faintly.
"Of course we do." she said with a nod "Hes a beautiful owl everyone says he could win awards for how attractive he is. Thats until he trys to move or do other stuff." she sounded sympathetic. "Well, you already had shown some. Remember when you got upset and stuff shattered..thats a sign of being a witch right there. When I was little I could float and make flowers bloom." she murmured wistful for the past. "Oh I still can mind you, but its away exciting when you realize you can do thing." she murmured. Than she was touching her locket like she tended to do. Lilith had always been drawn to the heart shaped locket with her name enscribed into it. Lily knew that Lilith adored it as much as she did. Maybe because it was the one piece she couldn't have to play with because Lily was possessive of it. "It could be anytime." she told her "Magic comes in small burst my love." she told her "Once you realize you can do it though you don't forget." The locket sparkled softly with Lily's dismissed spell and she glanced at the picture within it as well with a look of someone who remembered that very well. "Wow ?" she asked with a raised brow. "I am twelve almost thirteen and Severus is thirteen almost fourteen there." she said as she pointed out stuff. "See this tree..that house right there was mine." she said. Watching her daughter as she examined it closely. Oh certainly her child was going to notice the similarities between herself and her. She had her eye shape even if they were a darker shade than green. She had her mother's hair length, and the pale complexion of the young man who was caught playing with her hair, and leaned against her swing. 'We were discussing his house there..see Severus's parents argued alot..didn't have much to smile about than." she said. "Some girls stuff there bras." she told her with a nod. "I never bothered, I was a brain I didn't have too." Lily didn't add that she was well enough liked that she had never really had any concerns for attracting a man's eye."No I think there is one person out there for everyone.A soul partner if you will." she said "Just make sure you know for sure." she advised. Lily smiled faintly at her daughter "Oh, well thank you dear." she said "You will be like me in that, no need of alot of make up."
"Oh I am not sad for me honey." she said "I am usually happy. You learn to be happy with what you have." she said with a wink. "So how about we finish getting dolled up and I will make you some pancakes and well take pictures." Lily took the locket back and placed it back around her neck as she did. She touched her wand to it the same golden glow went back around the heart sealing it. She motioned to the door it clicked and opened slightly no longer locked or barred. She winked at her daughter. "Don't worry if you like Quidditch I will support you, I think you'd make an excellent seeker if that ever interests you. Thats catching the golden snitch." she said as she spun her wand and tapped her hair causing the red locks to curl and fall free around her shoulders. Than did the same gesture and tapped her with it. "Also, don't ever let anyone tell you just because your a half blood your not special or deserving." she said "I'm muggle born" she explained. "You have the best of both worlds." that also worried her since she was a half blood like her father. She didn't want her to be worried about that.

Lilith didn't know the story behind the bunny. But it seemed so well loved, and being a smart child as she was, she assumed it was one of those 'just for mommy' things much like the locket she always wore. For her 'Snowbear' was best, though Lilith had her own toys. She'd much rather have her mother's bear. It smelled like her and reminded her so much of her, with the big caring eyes and the softness. An' old childish thing perhaps, but it did. And so Lilith loved the plush polarbar. It like the bunny for her mother had seen her through sick spells as well. Lilith was looking to it and not. She didn't want to take that step and be away from home. But yet wanted to grow up like her mother and be a powerful smart witch. At her age, she knew nothing of 'The Dark Arts' she knew what it was but not the finer details. But if fated wanted her there, it would have the way. Blood may well turn her towards it to follow her father's footsteps in away, just as she would follow her mother's in her witchy abilities. When the time for Hogwarts came, Lilith would be good, for fear of her full name shouted to the halls. She liked her name just fine. But didn't want the whole of Hogwarts to know it. She too knew she would try to get her mother to agree to letting her take 'Snowbear' with her. If she was leaving her mother she had to have something of hers to keep near her, lest cry at the thought of being truly alone and away from home.
Smiling up at her mother Lilith, meet her mother's bright green eyes with gray-blue ones. She made a sound similar to a cat's purr as her mother kissed her brow. Shifting she moved closer to her mother, at her words. She was truly close to her mother, she didn't feel the same connection to James, though she didn't quite know why yet, she just didn't. "Oooo spooky, my very own ghost." She giggled then added, "I hope you don't go all ghostly on me anytime. I'd miss your hugs." Turning she wrapped both arms around her mother, as she hug her too. Lilith knew who Severus was, he was her mother's friend. They'd known each other since before she was born. If she remembered right they were just kids themselves then. Lilith liked him, she thought he was funny. Something about his mannerisms and gestures, while they were strangely familiar in a way, his ways were funny to her. Nodding eagerly at the mention of the green dress. "Oooh that sounds pretty!" She and her mother always had fun, dressing up though was her favorite thing. Her mother had so many pretty clothes and jewelry.
Nodding a little she agreed, Nox was pretty just the poor little owl wasn't the most graceful. "I like watching him, but I feel bad 'cause I want to laugh." She admitted. Lilith blushed a little, yes she remembered making things shatter. She thought she'd be in trouble. It wasn't as if she got of scott-free but it hadn't been quite as bad as she'd thought. "So already I'm a witch?" She asked, then added her eyes getting big, "You floated? That sounds fun. And flowers.." She said 'Mmmm' "Who needs Valentines day when you can grow your own flowers." She giggled, though thought both floating and making flowers bloom sounded nice. "Exciting?" Her brow raised, "I scared myself when stuff started to break.." The locket to Lilith was like magnet it always seemed to pull her eyes and hand towards it. Sometimes she liked to trace her finger along the writing. Lilith would have never tried to take the locket, or have asked to wear it. She simply was content to look at it or touch the cool surface. "How come witches always depicted as old and ugly in muggle views?" She asked rather randomly then nodded, "I wish though. I wanna be like you." came a soft reply as she lingered as close to her mother as she could between application of make-up on them both. The spark of light glow of the door, as the locket opened was what had warranted the 'Wow' "Yea.. I've never seen you do that before. With the sparks, the glowing doors.. and your locket I didn't know it opened." Lilith answered meeting her mother's eyes briefly before they fell upon the locket, partly still in awe that it was open before her. She smiled as her mother spoke. "You're just a little older than me.." She whispered softly not really expecting a reply to that. Lilith nodded as she followed her mother's finger she smiled at each thing that was pointed out, her gray blue eyes looked at the picture intently as if she were trying to memorize every detail about it. She giggled, as her eyes fell on Severus. "I like how he's playing with your hair." She said, unable to blame him. She rather liked the feel of her mother's hair too. "Aww, poor Mr. Snape. That stinks his mommy and daddy fought.." She looked shocked then at her mother, as she giggled again. "Thats funny, walking around with socks hanging out of their shirts." She smiled, "You're smart and pretty naturally. I bet you had lots of guys around you." Lilith told her, not realizing how very true that way. "I'm to young for all that though. I still think boys have cooties or something.. 'cause they're just weird." She made a face. Boys were annoying too. The face quickly turned to a smile when she heard her mother say '' you will be like me '' She wanted to be just like her mother.
Lilith still frowned a little, "I know.. that's why it's weird to see you not seem happy." She told her mother, concern clear in her eyes. The wink didn't seem to satisfy her, but she didn't say anymore, especially since her mother spoke of food again. As if on cue just then her stomach growled with hunger and anticipation at the thought of pancakes. With a nod Lilith agreed. "Yes please.." She laughed lightly at the sound her stomach made. Her stomach forgotten for the moment as her mother took the locket back. Smiling Lilith watched her the glow of the heart once more and the click, of the door made her eyes cast towards it. That's cool.." She said clearly impressed by that. She shrugged, she was eight she didn't know what she wanted. "I know you will mommy. But I don't know.. A Seeker really?" She smiled only slightly that might have been fun. The smile lingered as her mother made her hair curl then did the same to her. Lilith shook her head lightly letting her curls bounce a bit. Giggling she looked back at her mother with one ringlet of dark brown-black hair hanging into her eyes. Blowing it out of there she listened to her mother. "I won't... 'cause what other's think doesn't matter. Right mommy? Its what you think.. that does." She answered knowingly. Nodding a little, "Some muggles are funny, especially the ones that are really 'non magical'." She giggled, then added quickly, "You're not like them though. You're special like me. An know. I like how things are." She said happily. A light giggle escaped her again as her stomach growled again. "Are we all dolled up? My tummy is growly." Food now, more playtime later!

Help Me If You Can , I have to get back to the House She had no idea what House she would be sorted into though she had been given a bit of an education before getting there. She had a fear of dementors for the longest time. Especially after the afternoon in the small woods near her home laying in the scent grass watching motes of sunlight flitter through the trees and Severus talk to her about the Magical World. A place she had never been but growing more and more excited to go to. She thought he might have been twirling a lock of her hair between his fingers than too. She could never be sure. Lily had been lost in her own thoughts. The bunny was precious to her as the locket was. The bunny was something of a comfort to her when she was ill or upset she'd lay down with it. She had, had an extended stay in Saint Mugo's when Lilith had been born mostly because she had been a bit on the thin side. The grief of loosing her parents had only been countered by the joy of having her. Her bunnie had been her constant companion when Cora hadn't been there to watch over her. All of them really her extended family. The dark Arts were more a dangerous thing than most would suspect and Lily knew more about the subject than many people did. She just kept it to herself and choose not to show that.Charms and Protections were her thing. Though her skills with Potions wasn't anything to laugh at. She could only hope that Lilith would figure out those things once she got older. It would be all about what appealed to her most. Lily wouldn't push her in any one direction. Though if Dark Arts became her talent the little girl could be promised to be watched like a hawk.
"Well, not so spooky in the magical world a ghost is not something to be afraid of..I mean there's Peeves.." she said as she gathered the girl close when she sought her out."And Nearly headless Nick.." she murmured as she pet her hair. "Hogwarts has its own ghosts. There Myrtle up in the Girl's bathroom but she is a sadly morbid little thing." Lily told her with a shake of her head."Don't worry, I don't plan to be a ghost for a very very long time." she promised with a laugh. Lily had been quiet amused that Lithe had choosen to hide behind Severus, and they both had said the same thing at the same time. I am/He is more scary than I/she is."
it had been one of those times that made Lily still smile. "You won't have to miss them." she said as she hugged her tightly. "I promise..I will always protect you." she added. "A mother's job is to always love and protect her children you know." she murmured softly. She nodded about the green dress. 'Yes I think that I will get into one of my lavender one's." she told her. "There is nothing to be ashamed of dear." she told her "He isn't graceful and it is funny sometimes. He won't know your laughing at him. As long as you rub his feather and give him treats he'll love you reguardless. Now don't take this as condoning picking on others smaller than you. That is an aweful and horrid habit to get into and it turns good people into bullies." she said "Make sure you know what to laugh at Lilith Scarlet." her words serious. "Words can wound just as sure as a spell or fist." she murmured. It was clear Lily was talking from experience on that and she gave her daughter another squeeze. "I trust you to do what is right in that regard." she added her tone fond. Than nodded her head "Yes, of course you are." she said with a chuckle. " You know the small things like bed levitating and your dolls dancing for you..all signs your a witch, and yes I knew about those..I can feel magic and its why I work to dispel some of it if I fear it could be harmful." she told her. "I haven't the slightest doubt you will get a letter to Hogwarts. After all your father and I both attended. " which was true. "yes but like James told you, its not anything to be worried about it happens." she told her and shook her head. "When you have a witch and wizard for a parent." she explained with a soft chuckle. "Its rarer with a muggle and witch or just muggles." she explained. "I was muggle born..this means I had no parents with a magical history." she said "Though I have lots of magic." she added. "Sometimes I think the blood just doesn't run true." she told her. "My..my...sister was older than me and she never showed any signs. I scared her with what I could do." she didn't add that it made her sad that her sister hated her for it. Still Lily smiled faintly at her daughter and petted her gently. "Don't worry though you will be what you will be and thats all that matter." she ;aughed "I don't know Valentines Day is sweet enough I suppose. However, its also a bit messy." she laughed "I will take you to Madame Puddifoot's for tea one day soon." she said "It always looks like Valentines Day in there." she rolled her eyes. "The first time I ever explored in there I was shocked by all the pink I admit." "Well, that because people fear what they do not understand, when they do not understand something they dislike it and make it unattractive to scare others with." she explained softly. "I think that its mostly the fear that causes that. Since magic isn't widely believed in thats why we don't practice magic in muggle circles." she told her. "Like you know I won't teleport into London. " at her surprise Lily smiled "I charmed the door shut sealed it so no one could walk in on us. and I uncharmed my locket so it would open." she told her "I tend to keep this close to my heart because its one of my happiest memories and allows me to manifest them into happy thoughts which is my Patronus." she explained. "I will explain that to you eventually." she promised. Lily looked away from the picture. "Yes, I am about five years younger give or take a few months." she was drawn back to the picture when her daughter giggled and she smiled. "Oh, yes." she said as she beamed slightly. "He denies it happened but we both know better. Its within his nature to deny it but smile when he thinks no one is looking." she said "he's even smiling faintly here." she tapped her picture. "My swing here has my name under it." she mused. "Got to wonder if it is still there after these years, I should check." she added thoughtfully adding it to her list of things to do. "Yes, his father didn't like much of anything his mother was an alright sort when she wasn't upset. Even if that was rare too." she sighed. "Needless to say I spent alot of time cheering him up when he was sad. My parents liked him." she added "They thought he was a bit to solemn for his age.""Well you don't have them hanging out of your bra you roll them to make your chest bigger." Lily colored a little and laughed. "I never worried about that." she shrugged. "You ought to be happy with the body you got." she explained "I mean I could do without my freckles but thats not going to happen either." she grinned "Everyone has a best feature." she explained "Mine happens to be my eyes."Lily's brows disappeared into her bangs and she laughed "Too many boys." she said softly "Though I personally only dated two in school." she said "I didn't have the need to chase a million men and I am sure I was concidered stuff up or too good by more than one of them." she said with a shrug. "I just kept to what I knew is all." she whispered. Her head tipped to the side and she grinned. "Your a pretty girl, I am sure you'll see for yourself first hand once you get up in years." she nodded her head. "Yes, you are far to young for that. Sides, I get to play one hundred questions with any boy who wishes to take you out on a date." she added simply. "I am sure your father will approve." Lily did not bother to add. and provide the potion. "Oh, all mommy cry and are sad about something some times." she said in answer. "Our children grow up so very fast. And past dreams sometimes pass themselves by." she explained quietly brushing her hand through Lilith's hair lovingly. 'Just remember that, not all dreams are meant to be but the ones you feel are you should hold tightest too." she glanced down to her daughter's stomach and laughed softly about it. 'Well." she said glancing down at her. "Seems that being pretty can wait for a bit. Food first. So little tummies are full." she advised. Lily started to weave her magic to put things back where they belonged clothes returned to the closet and her jewelry box floated back to the table where it had risen from. Lily winked at her daughter. "I am sure if you want to play Quidditch, your second mum Cora would be glad to show you the ins and outs, she really good." she said. "So would James, he too was a star player." she explained. "Usually" Lily said hesitantly. "Sometimes blood does matter." she said she did not mention she asked that same question and was told it would be fine. Yet, somehow being a muggle-born witch wasn't alright. Lily sighed softly "Your blood is magic enough to protect you for the most part, your not a Pure Blood." she shook her head. "Don't make fun of the people who can't see what we do, its wrong Lilith." she told her "While none of your siblings have that problem my sister does. There is nothing funny about Tuney..she's just a sad woman." Lily said as she removed her outer robe and dug in her closet for a change of clothes. A tunic shirt in light silver with colorfully ties at the wrist and throat and a pair of hip hugging jeans. She was still young and curvy enough to get away with dressing like that. "Come on..lets go get brunch." she said letting the locket drop down her top as well. Her wand tucked safely into her hair messily. ****** Once down stairs she directed Lily in the kitchen. "You grab the blueberries and I will get the batter going." she told her. "Just make sure you don't eat em all. There in the bottom of the fridge door." Lily approved of fruit for snacks. Fruit, Popcorn or course chocolate because it helped. She was humming to herself as she went being muggle born meant music was a natural thing to her. She loved to sing or had when Lilith was a little girl. She hadn't as muched the older she got unless she was sick or afraid and it would lull her. She sang the song softly under her breath. Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac since Lily had most of there albums and Queens as well. Lily tossed a apron over her clothes and gave Lilith one as well. "Here, so you don't get messy." she said. Handing the little girl a bag of opened chocolate chips. "Thats for mine." she liked chocolate chip cookies, she also liked cinnamon pancakes too. "Omlet or bacon ?" she asked with a tip of her head. Lilth didn't know for sure where she'd end up house wise in Hogwarts either, but Gryffindor was the most likely. Since her mom was in it. She didn't care really, other than not wanting Hufflepuff. It sounded stupid, so she hoped not to be stuck off in that house. Her biggest fear was the dark, being eight it was a logical fear. But she was, it wasn't the 'absence of light' that scated her though it was what was in the dark. The things she couldn't see that scared her. That was why she liked 'Snowbear'. Feeling she was to old to go crawling into bed with her mother. It was different if she came into hers, which happened if she was sick or called out scared in the nite. Most nites she could calm herself by snuggling close to 'Snowbear' and quite her fears. The Dark Arts wasn't something Lilith was likely to dable in it sound to much to her like her fear, darkness. It like nitetime likely held things she couldn't see. She could see herself into potions mostly. To her that seemed like cooking, mixing of the ingredients. She enjoyed that so potions couldn't be that different.
Smiling Lilith listened to her mother, she'd head about the 'House Ghosts'. She thought Nearly headless Nick sounded cool, he seemed nice too not like Peeves. And Myrtle, she felt sorry for her, poor ghost always so sad. She moved into her mother's touch loving it, needing it."Good, I like you here." Severus, seemed a good person to hid behind. She knew he was her mother's friend, so knew he'd protect her. Lilith wrapped her arms around her mother as she hugged her. She loved her hugs and her. She was perfect in Lilith's eyes. Nodding happily Lilith knew her mother would always be there for her and always will be. Snuggling close Lilith purred lightly. "You're the best mommy in the world." She told her loveingly. "Oooo we'll be pretty together purple and green."
Quietly listening, only speaking when her mother had paused, "Oh, good. I don't want to hurt his feelings. An' oooh I do. I like feeding him and petting him. His feathers are so soft." Her eyes had turned a little confused as it'd turned on her abit. She frowned, saying nothing her eyes fell almost downcast at the serious tone as her mother said her first and middle name. She knew she was in touble or treading on thin ground when her mom said her middle name. Only when her mother gave her a squeeze did Lilith look back up to meet her mother's eyes with a half smile. She did, she knew what it was to be poked at or made fun of. It wasn't a pleasent feeling. "I will mommy." She promised. She smiled easier now when she was sure her mother had move on from saying full name. Blushing a little, "I didn't know you knew about that.." She said of her dolls and plush animals dancing. "How could it be bad?" She asked. Again always with the questions. She was a very curious girl always wanting to learn and know.
"I'm just glad you weren't mad at me. But I guess being a witch, and you both understand.. it's expected." She said. She was just about to ask about that. "How did you end up a witch if your mommy and daddy were muggle? Muggle, is non-magic folk right? So you just got really luck.." She said always in quizative. "I don't know your sister do I?" She didn't remember her. Moving into her mother's side Lilith let her head rest lightly on her shoulder. "I'll be a powerful witch just like you." She answered. "It's good for the chocolate, that's messy too if it melts." She giggled, then smiled bright, she loved going out with her mother. "Oooh that'd be fun. Not sure I like the idea of so much pink though." She laughed again.
Shrugging lightly, she understood but didn't like that she and her mother would have been thought of as old and ugly with warts and pointy hats riding around on broom sticks. While the last two were right the rest wasn't in the least. "That hardly seems fair. We don't make up stories about them." At least she didn't think, she knew of none. Still young Lilith looked in awe at the door and the locket. "Cool.." She whispered. Though half wondred who would walk in on them. They were alone in the houe just now. "Patr.. wha? .. Eventually is fine. I ask to many questions." She said knowing her mother would always answer but sometimes wondered if there were such a thing as to many questions. Smiling she studied the picture as her mother spoke. "He looks like he really likes you. He still does I bet. You and Mr. Snape still are close." She nodded, "Yea I see, he should smile more." Lilith said matter-of-factly. "Really? Where did you grow up? Maybe we could all go look. You me and Mr. Snape." Lilith sounded eager to see where her mother had grown up. That and she liked swings, they were fun, almost like flying. Grumbling lightly, "I don't think I like his parents.." Nodding, "You're good at that, making people feel better. You make me smile. And' so what if Mr. Snape was, if I had parents like his always fighting I might be like that too." She replied.
Her eyes wided, as she mouthed 'Ooh.' She still didn't quite get it, but didn't ask. Nodding a little, "I like how I am." She smiled, but then frowned lightly, "Aww, I like your freckles. I heard once somewhere they're suppose to be like where angels kissed you or something." She told her mother from her resting place on her shoulder. Her gray-blue eyes looking up at her mother's face. "What's mine?" Came another question. Then giggles followed. "I bet you had to chase the boys off with you wand... only two?" She thought a moment then smiled, "Mr. Snape and dad." Snuggling closer still she purred into her mother's side. She nodded and smiled lightly. Giggling, "You'll have a long time to think up your questions. I won't be bringing anyone home any time soon."
Lilith didn't like that answer, her mother was suppose to be happy, and make her happy in return. If she was sad it made her sad. But she didn't question her of it, partly because she didn't know what to say, and the gentle touch of her mother's hand through her hair. Nodding that she head and understood, still though she didn't speak, but nudged her lightly, as if begging once more for her gentle touch. "Aww we can wait a bit.. I can just tell my tummy to be quiet." She said as she watched her mother. Nodding, "We'll see I guess. I don't know. I still think it all seems so violent with those big dented balls flying around and I saw once they shoved other players." She said not sounding all together impressed. Shrugging lightly, it didn't seem that fun to her being chased by a Bludger or shoved by someone bigger than her. With a nod she spoke, "I know.. I'm part muggle like you." She replied, then frowned a little. "Sorry, I didn't mean too.. I know you're muggle an' all. But they are funny, with the stories about witches. I mean what's that one story about really.. That 'Hansel and Gretel' a story about a witch who lures little kids with a house made of sweets then bakes them in an oven and eats them." She truly didn't get it, why would anyone tell their children a story like that. Shrugging, "You're right... sorry mommy." Lilith sat there by herself as she watched her mother change. She herself still wore her pj bottoms and had a sundress she'd thrown on. Smiling at her mother she jumped off the bed eagerly reaching for her mother's hand.
....
"Okay mommy." She nodded, quickly getting them from the fridge. She'd already poped a few in her mouth before her mother had told her not to eat them all. Giggling a little she chewed them and swallowed before closeing the door, with blueburries in hand. Lilith liked sweets in general be they natural like fruits or 'true' sweets like chocolate. Smiling, Lilith loved the sound of her mother's voice. Reaching out she took the apron and put her head through the hole. Then snatched a few more blueberries from the bowl, casting a glance to see if her mother noticed. She took the back of chocolate chips and smiled lightly, tipping the bag a little she let a few drop into her hand and put them in her mouth with the blueberries. Giving her mother a sheepish giggle knowing she'd seen her just then. Putting the bag on the counter she left them be.. for now. Swallowing she shrugged, "I don't care.. my tummy is just growling for your pancakes." She told her.

This World Has , Only one Sweet Moment She shook her head slightly if she had all the answers she'd have given them by now.If she had all the answers she'd know why she couldn't let go of what she felt for Severus. She was a married woman after all. Even if she was afraid of the dark and crept into her mothers room to crawl into bed with her Lily didn't mind. The truth of it all was Lil was the baby of the family.Even James didn't begrudge her that. All the children went through that state. She thought that Lilith would grow out of it by the time she made it to Hogwarts anyways. As far as houses went neither she nor Severus minded what house she actually winded up in.Though she understood his concerns when he said he hoped that she was in her mothers House. No matter how he liked to subtle poke at her about the House she was in. Lily took it all in good stride. Snowbear as she called it was always there to be stolen and cuddled with since he was really that big. Both of them had napped by the fire with it around Yule last year.
"Well good I like me alive too, and in one perfectly good piece." she giggled softly. She liked the ghosts just fine but sometimes she thought that they should move on.It was in the end there choice not hers.It had very much amused her when Lilith had darted behind the taller Potions Master make Lily frown though. She had almost slipped up and said Don't think your father can protect you from the likes of me. however she was known for her intellect after all and had stopped herself instantly."I don't know I thought the same of my mother." she said with a small smile."My mother taught me all I needed to know what was the proper thing to do." she assured her."So I give her credit where it's due." she murmured."Of course we will." she said with a wink."I think though we should wait till after breakfast before we get into the dress's so we get nothing on them."her words low and soft as she gave her another quick squeeze. Than let her go.
"Excellent than."she nodded."We should not have to worry about causing any trouble than."she told her."Cause I don't like to be teased and made fun of and no one else I know likes that either."she said.Lily was always a defender of the underdog. She had after all defended her friends in school as a girl too hadn't she?It had maybe gotten her more attention than she had wanted.obviously more than she needed too. Lily smiled at her warmly "Its a mother...a parent's place to know these things Lithie." she responded her gaze going to her daughters "I can feel magic when it goes off." came the explination. "Its not something I control it just something that is. Like when James has that magical cloak of his, I can sense him can't see him. Can't tell where he is..but I know he's there." she shrugged. "It's nothing to be ashamed of, in fact its something that you should encourage." Lily tucked her hair back behind her ears as she looked to Lilith. "Thats only natural...I could float so if you feel you can make your dolls dance you do that." she brushed soft fingers across her cheek. "Its all apart of who you are and nothing to be ashamed of." When she asked her how it could be bad the red haired witch looked thoughtful "Well...sometimes things happen like water boils on its own. Glass shatters...gravity reverses." she listed on her fingers. "You know things that could be bad." the questions would come and Lily would continue to answer as best as she could.
"No but the wizarding world sometimes does worse to them honey." she said sadly as she shook her head. "I mean I was indignant when Severus called me a witch." she said. "As I was born to muggle parents there was no magic in my family. Though they readily accepted that. You have to understand not everyone is like that." she lifted her chin. "The bad guys, don't like there magic being taken by muggles. Though magic has long exsisted before people. It is a harsh view. They feel that only the Pure Blooded Wizards are actually worthy of teaching and schooling and sometimes do in muggles and muggle wizards. Its why mommy does what she does when she's not home. Like you Maddie mum is an Auror." Lily closed her eyes and resisted sniffling 'no you never met Tuney." she said "See Petunia didn't get a letter to Hogwarts like I did. She was always envious of what I could do.." she said "To some extent I think she was also upset that Severus showed more interest in me than her as children, since he quiet bluntly told her to go away at one point when we were discussing magic...I think she felt as the older sister she should have had the attention. I don't know I can't say I have long since failed at understanding how she thinks." the admittance hurt. "When your grand mother and grand father passed there were words had again, and not very nice words and Severus gave her quiet the earful, and she never forgave me for that." she said quietly. "She thinks witch and wizards are...freaks." she shook her head She is small minded and mean spirited even after all these years." she nodded "Well usually couples go to Madame Puddifoots." she said with a chuckle. "Its meant to be romantic."
"You ask because your curious." she said as she sighed and again the wand came up. She closed her eyes for a second and could recall the time in the park with her sister and with Severus she was swinging and she could feel the warm heat of the summer on her skin and the breeze blowing her hair. it was one of her happy memories.Expecto Patronum[/pink] came the firm but not shouted spell. From the tip of her wand burst forth the silvery doe it stood in the center of the room looking about as though it might actually be able to see something than bounced out through a window becoming smaller and disappearing into the rain. Lily turned back to look at her. "Thats what it is." she said with a wink. "Each person has a animal that they identify with sometimes people have the same one." she stretched a little "For me it was a doe because it was the first animal I ever saw in the Forbidden Forest, and l identified with her." she smiled faintly. "If you ever see Professor Snape's you'll notice we share one." she said with a chuckle. "I think that it is interesting." she admitted. "He and I have the same one I don't know how many people share such a thing." She glanced back to the picture and nodded her head at that. "Yes..we..we...were very close in school..sweethearts I suppose you could say." she admitted quietly. At her saying she and Severus were still close she colored a little. "Oh, yes we are." she agreed. "We had a touch of a falling out...but made up and have been close since." she couldn't help but agree. "Yes he should..and I have seen him smile its just rare and in between."Lily sighed and pat her lightly. "I promise i will take you there to visit Lilith some day soon." she said and hesitated "I think you'll like it...and you don't have to worry about that with myself and James." she promised. "We would never hurt you or the boys." her tone held the edge that clearly said. Especially if he knows whats goodfor him.
"Yes nothing wrong with freckles, you will not see a green eyed red head who doesn't have freckles you know." she laughed "Or if you do there very rare, and few and far between." she murmured. When her daughter leaned into her she smiled down at her. "Your eyes much like mine are expressive." she said "Oh I have no idea how many boys actually liked me in school...I wasn't really into boys I was a student, I was head girl at one point and a Prefect." she shook her head lightly. "With my studies and the side studies I did on potions I really had no time for boys." she explained. Than she tipped her head to the side. "Perceptive." she said with a giggle. "Well good thing too. " she told her "I'd rather have you happy and enjoy your childhood than all grown up before your time."
Lily nodded "Yes I agree. i find it a dangerous sport as well." she said "Merlin only knows why James likes that game so much or even Cora. I watch to support the Houses and to show team spirit." she explained. "Your brother Harry already has a keen interest in it. Thus the potions I have going in my lab." she sighed softly. Tipping her head to the side she stirred her daughter from the room. Her hand on her back. "Darling, those stories are more about morales than about being a witch..and not all witches are good witches either." she said "Hansel and Gretel tell parents to love there children more, children to mind where they go and witches to be ware children who are stronger and smarter and might think to bake you into bread." she laughed softly. Lily like fairy tales had been very fond of them as a girl. She memorized many of them personally.
****** Lily didn't have to see her to know she was popping blue berries in her mouth she even turned and animated a few that moved to her and popped them in her mouth herself. "Mmm she started the griddle on the oven and began to beat the batter."Making pancakes isn't completely different from making a potion. Often faster." she laughed. Lily set the bowl in front of Lilith. "All you have to do is mix the ingrediants." she told her with a wink. Watching her eat the chocolate chips Lily still didn't say anything. "Add one cup of chocolate chips." she passed her the measuring cup. "One half a cup of cream and two cups of flour." she gave her the recipe right off the top of her head. Lily was already putting the first set of pancakes on the griddle but she was slowly teaching her daughter to cook. "Well in a few minutes you'll have one." she told her. "I think in three days from now we will go into London. So you can see the Muggle world."

Lilith thought her mother had all the answers. Though most children likely did. As off the wall some of her questions could be at times she could always count on her mother to be able to answer them. That too her being the baby, she knew she had mother looking out for her. Her father too.. She could always curl up with them and sleep if her nitemares got to scary for her. Most of the time she could calm herself down but on those nites when she couldn't, her mother would wake up with an eight year old and 'Snowbear' curled up at her side. When she went to Hogwarts, Lilith knew she had no choice. She didn't mind really she just hoped for two things. One that she'd be in Gryffindor like her mother. And second that she could take 'Snowbear' with her. She loved her mother, and the plush polarbear. Oh the fond memories she had with her mother curled up and in her mother's lap. More than once she fell asleep by the fire her mother and 'Snowbear' one Yule.
Smiling brightly, she hugged her mother. "I like you all in one perfect piece too." She told her, as she stayed close to her. While she had no experience with ghosts, just what she knew of them existing. She knew about Peeves and Nearly headless Nick and Myrtle but little else. Lilith had nothing against ghosts, at all, just she didn't want her mother to be one anytime soon. She didn't know why she'd hidden behind Severus, something, or somone had scared her. Maybe it was she felt safe around him because he and her mother were so very close. Lilith would have never been afraid of her mother, he just happened to be near by. "Oh all girls think that of their mommy's. An' they are!" She said rather matter-of-factly. "Your mommy did a good job. I bet she was really sweet." She told her mother. She didn't know her parents she didn't think. She didn't know her father's either. With a smile she nodded in agreement, "Yea, you're right. Syrup wouldn't be good on dresses." She agreed as she moved into her mother's embrace. Lingering there against her side with her head resting on her mother's shoulder even after she'd let her go.
She nodded again, "Oh no.. Nox is sweet. I like him." She replied then added, "I don't like to be made fun of either. Sometimes the boys tease me." She refered to her brother's. It was usually just the older brother, to baby sister banter. But still she didn't like it at all. She giggled a little. "I'm glad you know, makes it easier than hiding it. Did ever float stuff before? I mean like when I was little, like baby bottles?" She asked thinking that image sounded funny. Baby bottles or toys floating. Shaking her head in a 'no'. "Oh I''m not ashamed of it mommy. I'll be a powerful, smart witch just like you. I like magic, watching you us fun, but I want to be able to it too." She told her happily. Nodding, she mouthed 'oh' but didn't speak just then.
"Some people are mean. I don't get why the muggles and witches just can't get along." She grumbled a little at the thought. She giggled lightly at Severus calling her mother a witch. That was kind of funny. She tipped her head lightly to the side listening to her. " That's so not fair! Us half bloods and muggles can do anything the Purebloods can." She said all at once. "Auror?" She asked, then frowned. It seemed then that her mother might cry. Lilith moved closer to her and hugged her, "Aww mommy.. She didn't deserve a sister like you. She was just jealous her baby sister got the attention." She told then glowered a little at that thought. "I am not a freak, an neither are you!" Lilith didn't like the sound of her aunt. She was rather glad she didn't know her. "Oooh. Well it still sounds kinda nice, just lots of pink. There are other colors for Valentine's day right? White and red.. an' hearts, they're not really..um.." She shifted and made a heart shape with her hands. ".. really that shape are they?" Lilith didn't mind all the pink an the hearts, she just at eight wasn't really into it all. "You don't mind do you?" She asked, then blinked a little confused. She started to ask her mother what was wrong. But at the spoken spell she blinked at the doe. She was so pretty. Lilith wanted to reach out and touch the dear but didn't. She had doubts if she'd even touch anything. The deer seemed so fragial and transparent she figured the deer would be like a ghost her hand would have passed right through. Turning head she followed the deer's movements her eyes were wide in awe and amusement. Blinking she looked back at her mother, speechless. She nodded and listened to her mother's words quietly. It was obvious she cared for Severus. And he for her as her mother spoke. Lilith wondered why they'd split up at all. Like any curious child she wondred what it might have been if Severus had been the one her mother had married. Lilith was sure they'd have had adorble kids. And he would have been a fun father. She like 'Potter' he was nce and all, he'd never hurt her or her brother's or yelled at her mother. Yet still she couldn't help but not feel close to him. She felt as if they were nothing alike. "Really? That'd be fun. Just me and you right? Oh and 'Snowbear' He'd like it too." She said with childlike excitment. Lilith loved being around her mother, the thought of London seemed like so much fun. "I know he wouldn't.. if he ever did you'd use your magic on him. And I know you wouldn't!" She added in agreement at that fact. Lilith giggled at her mother, "I'm you're not rare then, even if it'd make you special, but I like the way you are." She told her smiling, feeling the softness of her mother's hair as she rest her head there on her shoulder. "I love your hair, it's so soft.. and your eyes. They both go together like Chirstmas all red and green" She smiled. "I like my eyes too, they're kinda two tone sort of.. I like my hair too though.. It's all black." She said looking up at her black bangs. She couldn't help but wonder where she got her eyes and hair, she looked nothing like James. Only by her sature, features and some in her manorisums. Even it wasn't exact she was diffenitly more her mother's child than she was James. "I bet you had a lot of friends you're nice to everyone, so there were sure to be boys around you." She told her, then blinked and smiled. "Ooh that's good.. right?" She asked of the 'Prefect' Head Girl sounded good and so did Prefect though it sounded like perfect to her. "I'll do that too. Unless decide boys aren't annoying by then. I'd rather be to busy to notice." She nodded and giggled too. "Just smart, 'cause of you. You're with dad and always talk about Mr. Snape. You hardly ever mention other guys unless it's the boys." She told her. Smiling again she agreed. "Me too. Unless you have more kids I'll always be your baby... Though having little brother or sister would be fun, I like how we can just spend time together, even just talking." She replied. The admoration for her mother evident in her voice. Nodding, "It just doesn't seem that fun to me. I think the flying part might be fun but not with balls or other kids flying at me." She said then added, "I think it's just 'cause boy s like to get dirty. Don't know about Cora.. but I'm sure that'd be the reason for dad and Harry." She told her with a giggle. "Potions are like cooking right?" She asked as she walked out at her mother's side. Smiling at the hand on her back she tipped her head to look up at her mother, listening quitely for the moment thinking. "I guess that makes sense. But still seems odd.. We don't have stories like that do we?" She asked brow raised as she tried to recall any but came up drawing a blank. Lilith liked stoires too, but she like'd her mother's stoires. Though some she was told were like Fairy tales she liked them from her lips.
.... Lilith blushed slightly. "You know don't you?" She asked as she watched her mother animate a few berries for herself. "They often smell better too." She giggled. Glancing to the bowl she started to ask what she could do to help but her mom told her first. Nodding she and picked up the bag of chocolates and took the measureing cup and said,"Thanks." as she poured in the chips to the one cup mark then poured them into the bowl.. Nodding she set the measureing cup down and went to fetch the flour out of the cabinet. Carefully she poured the flour, managing the full two cups without spilling so much as a speck. That went into the bowl with the chocolate chips. Putting the flour up she got the cream next pouring it in. It splashed a little but managed to stay in the cup. "Mix it now right?" She asked as she poured the cream into the bowl. She loved how her mother let her help her. It was fun, and she was always eager to learn. She smiled brightly as her stomach growled again. She hadn't realized how hungry she was until her mother had mentioned pancakes. Now she was starving. "Okay!" She said sounding all to eager.

This World Has , Only one Sweet Moment If Lily had all the answers than she wouldn't be in this situation she was currently in at the moment. All of the things that Lily had done thus far had been for her family. She loved her children more than her own life but there were times she wondered what sort of life it was. She didn't hate James but she didn't view him as she thought she would. It was a fine mess she was in and she'd stepped into it too. Though there would be objection Lily knew deep inside she only had herself to blame. She listened to Lil's questions and she answered them to the best of her abilities.Yes it was because Lilith was the baby, it was also because she had her quick mind and her natural curiosity. She was just repaying the favor that had been given to her when she was little more than Lilith's age. Though she had gotten over the majority of her fear of them. At one point in her life Lily had been terrifed of the Dementors she didn't want to face them was worried they might come for her if she did magic improper. Though she had been assured that was by no means what would happen. All children went through the growing pains of youth and childhood. Fears would come and go. The Dark, Death, Clowns...there were all sort of things. It was about growing older and growing up.
She giggled "Well I didn't mean that I was perfect...no one is perfect Lilith." she said "Try to remember that." she murmured to her fondly. She had told her tales of the ghosts at Hogwarts. So had James around Halloween each year. The kids seemed to like it but there was also the problem of the two youngest still being a bit young for scary tales and Lily had wound up having to split the duty of being with the kids all night with James. Since neither wanted to sleep alone.Harry thank goodness was past that point. Though he was her first born and she would always take care of him. His fears didn't seem to show themselves very often."Ah, well I suppose so...I did think that of mine as well." she said with a tip of her head. "She was very sweet." she said in a soft voice "I never got to meet James parents either they died before I married him." she explained. "Before we were even dating." Lily had very little information about James side of the family to share with her. Not that it would be James side she should be concerned of. The sad fact was on her actual father's side there was no grandparents either. Tobias and Eileen had passed as well. "No it would not be good on dresses."
'It is like that sometimes." she said to her "Your brothers will tease you and boys will tease you. It is how it will be." she said as she shook her head faintly. "You must endeavour to get along with your siblings honey." she soothed playing with her hair. "Its no fun to be alone in your own house." Lily shook her head at her daughter "No nothing like that Lilith." she said with a grin. "That was your older brother he floated right out of his crib at one point." she told her. "You wouldn't recall you weren't even a thought yet." she chuckled."I am sure that the magic in your blood is very strong. Mine was." she told her "I don't know if the magic comes through the mother or the father, but intellect comes through the mothers so you've got both in spades either way." she promised. "Just mind what I show you and learn what you can. Since you know I will teach you properly. Soon I will teach you how to read a special version of short hand I used in school. Severus and I will show you how to do Potions if your truely interested."
Lily frowned faintly and her red brows drew together "I think that its the Blood that doesn't set right." she said as she brushed her bangs back from her face. "Magic can not be dictated by Pure Blood, Half Blood or Muggle Blooded." Lily said with a sniff "I was one of the best witches of my generation and still am..." she gave her a shrug "Honestly I have no real answer for that other than the Pure Blood's feel that magic is there heritage." she glanced side ways at her. "I say the Half Bloods are the true ones who are the lucky ones. They have to gifts of understanding the muggle world, and knowing the magical side as well." she nodded "What Mommy Maddie is, she's an Auror there the people who tend to the things that go bad with magic, protect against the Darkness." she smiled with Lilith hugged her and dabbed at her eyes with the sleeves of her robes."No but Tuney and I use to be so close. LIl its why I don't want to see you and your brothers fight." she whispered as she held her daughter close to her."Valentine hearts are like that, but a real heart has two valves and isn't that rounded and pointed." she said brushing a kiss over her daughters dark locks. "Of course I don't mind Lilith." she laughed softly. Watching her as she watched her Patronus raise her head and bounce off.
"Yes, just you me Snowbear and my bunny." she answered quietly. "I don't much like being home without the boys." she told her.Meaning Lilith's older brothers. Lily only allowed her to think about what might have been after Severus had written her that letter. It too was so enchanted and protected that anyone not authorized to read it would never want to look in a mirror let alone try to read through her things. Severus was very precuiliar about his privacy and Lily could not blame him that. Especially what had been written in that letter. Not even Dumbledore knew the whole of it. She raised her brow when Lilith rubbed her fingers in her hair. It seemed it was something that just drew fingers to and into it. "Oh, so you like me because I remind you of Yule ?" she teased her tickling her very gently. She gave her a faintly troubled smile. 'Oh, yes...and James has dark black hair too. Like Harry." she murmured. "Your eyes are like your grandmothers." she added softly. "I had friends, most of them moved on to bigger and better things. Alice got married, so did Cora and Maddie as you well know." she laughed "There was Dorchas she's out there too..its sad it seems like the majority of our years moved on and faded away..now I really only keep up my friendships in the Order, and it seems there's never enough time left to do everything that needs doing." she sighed and shook her head "Your eight though, you've got a full life ahead of you." she said "Don't let the worries of your mother's age become yours." she said hugging her again. Sometimes she wondered when she began to feel so old.Again she nodded "I guess so it made me a goodie goodie as Siri says." she rolled her eyes faintly. "Oh, well there were no other boys that really caught my eye in school. Just between the two of us, I wish I could redo my last year all over again. Things would certainly be different." Lily arched a brow "Like Harry is my first born, you'll always be my baby girl...your my first girl." her tone reassuring.
"Potions is like cooking." she said "Its like following a recipe that you have to be very, very careful on." she murmured."All people have stories honey." she told her as she moved to get off the bed. Quickly changing into something that wouldn't get messy cooking. "Some better than others. The History of Hogwarts has its fair share of stories in it, many read like a fantastic fairy tale but you will find are true." she said with a chuckle. Lily gave a shake of her head. "If your really interested in Quidditch ask Cora or Harry about it." she said simply. "I am not the go to girl for that. Like I said I spent it watching not praticipating." her lips quirked up at the side. "Had to much other stuff going on my life to try to be the center of attention in that manner." she shook her head. "I wasn't very happy my last year, there and its really very much a blur. James was a Quidditch champion and the golden boy of Gryffindor." she sighed quietly.
******
"Of course I know." Lily answered over her shoulder her curl tucked up and clipped so they weren't in her face. "Why wouldn't I ?" she asked again. "It is my kitchen." she added as she took butter out of the fridge to grease her griddle. Humming softly to herself. She took the stirred pancake batter from her daughter and began to make silver dollar sized pancakes on the surface. These were small enough she could hold and eat them. She glanced over the shoulder at the batter Lilith was working on that would be the pan sized pancakes. "Yes, your going to want to stir the batter until all the flour lumps are out of it. Not the blueberry lumps." she smiled at her daughter at that and lingered nearby to watch over what she was doing. Lily sat some of the small pancakes to her daughters side so she could munch on them as she worked since she could hear her tummy growling. Lily turned to make herself a fresh cup of coffee. While she could have animated the kitchen to cook for her Lily was still very much a muggle girl. She liked working with her hands and working on the stove so she did.She tipped her head to the side a little bit and made sure that Lilith was proceeding okay. "Potions is a touch more complicated but I think you can be taught."

The young girl knew nothing of how her mother felt or what she was thinking. Though she could tell there was something she couldn't quite put her finger upon. Already she could tell she was different than her siblings. Not just looks but likes and personality wise. She was like her mother, but not totally even then. Maybe that was the root her mother's thoughts. Lilith was a perceptive curious girl. While she sought answers and knowledge, there were somethings she knew better than to ask about. So she said nothing, she lingered near her mother, hoping she was helping. It wasn't as if she meant to be so curious and to ask so many questions. She just was, she couldn't help it. She wanted to know things, part of it to curb her own fears. It was in knowning that she could grow and not be so scared of what 'went bump in the nite' or what she didn't understand. She was the baby, she acted like it sometimes. Her natural curiostiy was apparent in that, she was young but smart. She was smart for her age.
Giggling back lightly she nodded, "I know mommy. But you're perfect enough for me." She told her with a light nod. Lilith liked the ghost stories her parents told. Though sometimes his were scarier than her mother told. Maybe it was because to her, her mother's voice was more soothing. Either way, after his stories Lilith usually found herself curled into a tight little ball in her mother's lap with Snowbear there. Even when her mother's scared her the outcome was the same with her as close to her mother as she could get. Lilith sat listening happily, while it was sad not knowing her grandparents. It was nice to hear about them from her mother's mouth to know what they had been like. She liked the sound of her mother's parents. They seemed wonderful from what she'd heard. Of James' she knew nothing, and dared never to ask him. She would never know any of her grandparents, that was sad but she had her mother she couldn't bare the thought to lose, her father would have faired the same. Lilith would have cried the loss of either of them. Smiling lightly, "It'd take forever to get stains out, maybe even with magic." She agreed with a giggle. She'd never get anything on her mother's clothes on purpose.
Nodding a little, Lilith knew that. Siblings didn't get along all the time no more than parents did. She knew her brothers would poke fun at her just as she did at them. Wither she meant it out of malice or just because they did, the fact of the matter was, siblings will be siblings. All that aside Lilith didn't mind having siblings they weren't so bad. "I will mommy. We get along alright most of the time." She told her mother in understanding and agreement. She'd be okay.
"Oh, I'm never alone mommy. I always have you and Snowbear." She said happily. Smiling she listened to her mother. Giggling, "That's funny. I bet that was funny seeing him floating about." She smiled a little. Her head tipped lightly to the side, "I hope so. I want to be just like you mommy." She spoke with admoration of her mother. She knew as much as her mother where magic came from, but for the things she'd been told. With a nod she agreed, only of the 'learning' did she speak. "I will I promise. An okay, anything, you want to teach, you and Mr. Snape." She told her always eagar to learn. And too always eagar to be around Mr. Snape. Maybe it was partly because her mother liked him, but still she knew she liked him as well. He was good to her mother, and was always nice to her.
As the frown crossed her mother's face Lilith's face matched it. She shrugged a little unsure but agreed with her mother. She listend to all her mother said of blood. Be it Pure, Half and Muggle. At the snif from her mother, she moved closer to her. "You are the best. Witch and mommy." Lilith said with an incourageing tone. Her words were true. "Everyone has a right to magic blood doesn't matter.. or it shouldn't." She replied then added, "You're right though, the Halfbloods understand both worlds. Pure have only seen magic they can't relate to Muggles and magic for them it's all oneside" She said echoing what she'd heard others say. She then looked to her mother as if conformation as to if that was right.
"Oooh okay. I think I understand now." She told her as she looked at her mother. She saw her dabbing at her eyes. Lilith frowned, she squirmed a little, shifting so that she was on her knees so that she could hug her better. "Mommy.. don't be sad please. I know you said all mommy's are sometimes. But you always make me feel better when I'm sad.." She told her softly. As she went on about Petunia, Lilith listened but didn't speak she just shifted again to sit but lingered as close to her mother as she could get. "We won't mommy. We'll get along." She promised softly. Smiling she nodded, "Yea and the left lung is smaller than the right lung to make room for the heart!" She told her as if she didn't know. Lilith smiled at the Patrouns and her mother, I'm glad you don't mind.." She said with a light purr to her voice.
Smiling brightly she looked happy at that, her mother, Snowbear and the bunny. Lilith hadn't named the bunny and she didn't know what her mother called him. He was simply, Bunny for all she knew. She nodded a little. Lilith didn't mind really, she was a moma's girl but understood how her mother felt, she hated being away from. Lilith's thoughts of Serverus were only from what she was told or saw from and around her mother. She wasn't the kind of child to go snooping where she ought not snoop. Blushing a little she looked at her mother with light smile. She giggled softly, she started to answer, but before she could, her soft giggle, became pure giggles as her mother tickled her sides. She squirmed a little but not away, she didn't mind the tickling. She rather liked it, it made her feel happy. "Noo, mommy. I love you, 'cause you're my mommy. Your hair and eyes are just there. I love them too." She answered. Then listened as she spoke of her grandmother and friends. She was quiet listening until her brow raised in confusion. "Why do you make it seem as if you're so old? You're not old. Maybe to my eight.. but you're not going anywhere any time soon.." She said her voice breaking a little sounding as if she might cry but didn't. She didn't like the thought of her mother seeming as if she were old. The thought of her mother dieing scared her. If anything, beyond her fear of the dark, the thought of her mother dieing that was pure terror. Nodding a little she smiled. "I bet you made excellent marks in school." She said then added hugging her mother. "I know. I like being your baby girl. An' I like it when you call me Pookie too." She beamed at the pet name. She really didn't know where it came from but her mother had called her that since she was really little.
"Well I like cooking." She replied with a smile. She loved helping her mother cook. To her potions seemed little different. Maybe a little more dangerous but still fun. "Ooo cool. That book sounds fun." Sounding eager, wondering if it were something she could read. She read a lot as is but if something like that would be understandable to her. Shrugging, "Later maybe.. I'd rather learn the witchy things first. Potions and spells." She replied. While Lilith might watch, she doubted she'd play she truly did think t seemed violent and dangerous. And too she really did like cooking, so the potions and the magics were what really interested her. Glancing to her mother, she gave her a look. "Aww, sorry mommy. Why weren't you happy? Did he ignore you all wrapped up in the game?" She asked, wondering if that was why her mother didn't like Quidditch.
.... Lilith smiled, "Oh no you would know. No reason you wouldn't." It wasn't as if she was trying to hide it from her mother. She watched her mother out of the corner of her eye even as she did what she was doing. Smiling as her mother hummed, she loved her mother's voice. Nodding at her, she got a spoon from the drawer near her and stirred it around, making sure as her mother said, to get all the batter mixed in. A whisk would have worked too she knew. But a spoon was so much easier to lick. As she stirred the blueberries, made the batter blue. "The pancakes are gonna be blue." She giggled as she watched the blue swirl in with the milky white of the batter. Smiling up at her mother, as one batch of the pancakes was set near her. "Thanks mommy." She said taking one of the pancakes with with other hand, munching on it. Her stomach growled again. She glowered at it with a look that seemed to say, I'm eating.. hush up already! Quickly she shoved the rest of the pancake into her mouth and looked to her mother, with bowl in hand, for her to see her eyes questioning as to if that was good as she chewed then swallowed her pancake. "I want to learn it if I can mommy. I'd be a good student."
