Alexander growled under his breath and stared down the small company that had invaded his parlor. How he had been nominated as the current host for the inner circle was beyond him, and he was eager to get them out of the manor as quickly as possible. But first, there was business.
Voldemort had pulled his favorites- Lucius, Bellatrix, Alexander (of course,) Severus, Nickolas, (and though no one knew it yet) Twila- to head their next massive attack. Since the dark lord wasn't present, Alexander had a feeling that this was test that they had better not fail- or else.
The orders had been simple enough: they needed to kill a mass amount of muggles in a little amount of time as a signal to the Order and the Ministry that they were in control. How and where were up to them to decide tonight. Everything had to be in place- they had until week's end to start the first battle cry of the war.
Alexander gritted his teeth impatiently. Everyone was there but Twila. Where was his stupid wife, anyway? He knew she wasn't dumb enough to try and run away- she'd be dead before she got too far. No, she was around, somewhere...
He cleared his throat softly as the door to the library opened and Twila entered, dressed in a set of tailored violet robes. She had a scone in her hand, chewing on it as she looked around the room. He wanted to smack her. What the hell was she thinking? Her eyes met his, and he rolled his own. Apparently nothing. Like usual.
He glanced around, trying to gage the looks of the other members of the circle. Twila's reappearance had been kept hidden from all of them, with only Voldemort knowing ahead of time. She was supposed to make her return official tonight, and she was doing a hell of a job. Idiot.

Standing off to the side of the others gathered in the parlor, Nick was leaning against a wall with his arms folded, with an all-too-casual air. His eyes flicked around languidly when something interesting happened or when he was studying some piece of furniture or decoration, but otherwise remained fixated away from the rest of the dark lord's favored servants. He would be a part of this meeting out of necessity, yes, but there were other far more fascinating things he could be doing with his time - like hunting down victims.
His service to Voldemort was sparkling all the same, and he never faltered when it came to orders. His bloodlust was both a necessity and an asset, and was part of the reason why he had gone from unknown recruit to inner circle so quickly. He was deadly when on a mission.
Coming out of his own head when the library door opened, and his eyes flicked towards the new disturbance. Everyone meant to be there was there, so his eyes were narrowed when they fell on Twila. Recognition flickered to life in the center of said eyes, and he sucked on his bottom lip - a mechanism that usually covered up other unwelcome reactions, such as surprise. No need to act like a deer in the headlights.

Twila looked up, feeling everyone's eyes on her, and she brushed a stray crumb from her lips. Her eyes met her husband's for the briefest of seconds, then went around the room in turn. So many faces she knew, and yet she didn't really know them at all. Not anymore.
Feeling uncomfortable, Twila went and stood next to Nick, probably the most neutral to her out of the entire room. Her husband was the last person she'd want to stand next, and she had nothing to say to anyone else. Except maybe Severus, but she didn't want Alexander to fixate on the thin man. That would be bad.
Her eyes flickered to Nick, trying to place what was so different about him since the last time she had seen him. Something was off, that was for sure. She took another small bite of her scone and stared up at him, her expression blank other than mild curiousity.

Severus had been a touch later than planned himself to the meeting, but such had been expected, he had had to get into Hogsmead to apparate, and that was not something that was easily done without questions being asked. Needless to say he had an extensive knowledge of the hidden passages around the school. His assignment as the Dark Lord’s spy within the school and the Order was simple, obviously the Order needed keeping an eye on. In terms of the school, he had been left with three tasks, to keep an eye on Dumbledore, the only wizard the Dark Lord feared and with good reason considering he had defeated Grindlewald, to guide those who would be Death Eaters down that path and to keep an eye out for any student of promise that might be lulled to either side.
He showed no surprise at Twila’s entrance, nor did he show any sign that the two had met, his thoughts and his memories were his own and he had slaved over his discipline until the day that such was the case without him thinking about it.
He had some idea of what this was about already, there had been little that could have been said while he was in the school but that the Inner Circle were here meant one of a very few things. He steepled his fingers as he looked around the group assembled within the manor, not a flicker of emotion, warmth or hostility, in his gaze. He did not need to speak, he could wait all night for the host to get to the point whenever he chose to do so.

Pulling away from the wall as Twila approached, Nick regarded her with a wary sort of interest. She looked almost the same as she had all those years ago, yet..not. She had changed in some way, and he could tell that just by glancing at her. "Twila." He stated in a low voice, offering the courtesy of the greeting. The fact that there was - and had been - very little other conversation going on in the room had already served to unnerve him. He hated dead silence, as it was unnatural to highly sensitive ears.

"Nickolas." Twila tilted her head slightly, then licked the crumbs off her fingers. Smirking, she continued to stare up at him in fascination, her eyes unblinking like a cat's.
"Now that we're all here," said Alexander dryly, and Twila's eyes flicked towards her husband and then back to Nick. She seemed to hunch down on herself so slightly that only the vampire would pick up on it. "We have business to attend to. The Dark Lord wants us to send out the first sign of the war by the end of the week. Any suggestions?"

She slipped from the shadows of the city streets into the building the dark black of the cloak blending with the shadows of the night that was cast over her. Moving with a grace that marked her as clearly feminine she made her way into the meeting. Staying close by but lingering near the table where the drinks were sit. She listened quietly to the gathered folks at hand. Her mask in hand next to her on the table. She concidered the question asked at hand. Sipping at the refreshments. Her ideals weren't always the same as other Death Eaters. Really there were only so many Muggle Murders you could do before it became redundant. She wasn't here though to berate anyone for there fun. Nope if they wanted to kill muggles who was she to stop them. She was just making sure all was well with those her Dark Lord favored. Asterie stepped closer into the lights. "Good Evening to you all." she said her soft tone purred. Violet eyes cast about before she continued. "There is so much that one can do to furthur the cause. You must ask yourself what it is you are seeking to do excactly. IF it is hysteria you want. I find that fear is a good motivator. You do something that will terrify many. Those that fear are far more easy to convince of your ways, yes?" she inquired quietly.
"I say that Hogwarts is about to have a little get together for the start of the New School Year..do something with that..There are many ways of announcing one's presence without being the center of attention. Unless of course the aim is to be the center of attention." she sipped her drink. "Abduct children."

Leave Him Alone(THE BOY'S BAD NEWS) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Actually, that's not a bad idea." Alexander purred, nodding to Star in greeting. "Even better, it's excellent." He smirked at the angry expression on his wife's face as he straightened in his seat, smoothing the imaginary wrinkles from his unwrinkled robes. Alexander was all about appearances, particularly when there were pretty ladies around.
"The question is, who do we steal? Returning them, of course," Here he laughed darkly, his eyes black in the dim lighting. "Returning them is optional."
"I suggest a Black child." Twila piped up out of nowhere, and Alexander smirked. Dear Twila, never able to let another woman have the spotlight for long. It was one of the things he adored about her, really. It was all that much more fun to subdue a feisty attention whore than a meek child.
"And what sort of suggestions do the rest of you have?" Alexander ignored Twila, though he had to admit a Black child would cause a hell of a commotion. Particularly a dead one. Still, as it was Twila that had suggested it, he would consider other options... TAG Death Eaters WORD COUNT 194 MUSIC Eyes To See- Flyleaf, Say It- Blue October NOTES It's so easy being evil

Star winked at him she had a way of breezing in and out. Lately it had been more in than out since Alex had discovered a way of getting her to stay around more. Allowing her to look after his son. She decided that she'd be the mother the boy hadn't had. It was after all within her job description. While anyone of the Death Eaters was dangerous she was both a Duelist and a Veela that gave her a certain edge. She leaned against the wall. Well out of range of Alexander's hand should he get any bright idea's at the middle of a meeting. Her hood being pushed back so the elfin features were revealed into the firelight her silvery hair cascading around her waist with the movement as distracting as it might be. She could tell the others were distant tonight. Severus seemed to have something on his mind. Not surprising since the Dark Lord's favor wasn't always the easiest thing to bear. Alexander's wife was eyeing the other young man up and down. Nick she thought it was. She also nodded ot him only slightly. It would never do not to allow Alex think he was the center of attention.
"A Weasley might do as well, there's so many of them." she mused "I mean there like rabbits you turn your back and theres three or four more." there was humor in her tone. Than again wasn't where the lived called the Burrows..thus a bunny hole ? Star didn't share her inner humor merely gave a faint little smile. "A black might do but wouldn't you want someone prominent..you know someone who means something to the wizarding world. From what I understand most of the Blacks that aren't with Our Lord, have been disowned. While that would be doing them a great service...it might also be concidered just another black pruning the tree."

While he had been of half a mind to offer the first suggestion of the night when the opportunity for such came around, Nick found himself remaining silent as someone else entered the meeting - the veela woman, one everyone knew of but few actually knew. Where every other male in the room was paying attention in their own way - it was a compulsion - Nick was able to avoid that embarassing reaction. He had no interest outside of business in..Astria or something along those lines, and thus was able to tune himself out of reality - while still listening to the back and forth conversation the others got caught up in.
Kidnapping children always seem to come up in every other meeting, and the thought of it nearly made Nick scoff. Yes, it was often one of the most effective methods of gaining cooperation from parents scared to death for their offspring's safety, but it was a bit blase and over-used. Gritting his jaws shut tight enough to make his fangs dig into his gums, he merely continued to listen without comment. It wouldn't do to express displeasure with a method that the Dark Lord himself often felt compelled to use - twisting love and using it against others was one of the core aims to find the way to achieve the ultimate goal, domination. If he who Nick wouldn't even name in his thoughts out of respect wished it, he would go along with anything ordered of him.
"There are other families as well, not just Black and Weasley. Perhaps not prominent, but they need mentioning as well. Potter, Lupin, Bones...Longbottom." He was, of course, mentioning a few of the families that most vehemently opposed what their organization was trying to do, and striking at any of them would send a pretty strong message. There were others that would be more hard-hitting, of course, but for discussion's sake..he brought them up all the same.

Severus listened to the conversation going on about him almost idly, he preferred to listen and then speak having put in some considerable thought. His lips twitched for a moment as the idea of kidnapping children was mentioned though whether it was in amusement or disapproval was never going to be clear. As the idea was explored, he chipped in, “That would certainly send a message, but such would need to be done carefully. The defences in Hogwarts are considerable, and while there are subtle loopholes in mine, there are not in those provided by others and the work of one in that regard is always companioned with the work of another. The other factor is the tasks that the Dark Lord has given to me in regards to the school and to the misguided Order of the Phoenix, if such were to happen without the school having received any sort of prior word from me, and any at all might be enough to make this venture unfeasible, it somewhat compromises a job the Dark Lord has pressed the importance of to me.”
He folded his arms, tucking his hands into his sleeves, “It would seem to me that while this is an idea we should explore, striking a message through muggles could reap near or as much reward with less risk. Muggles gather in large numbers every day, at sports stadiums and in wait of transportation either by train as we have all experienced or through other means. They also use cars, another form of transportation, on roads that are raised upon pillars in quite large numbers.” He shrugged, he had never hidden his bloodline, and without making a big issue of it had argued that he was useful in some ways as a result of it, “In any case, we have options.”
