There are a grand total of 9 special statuses listed in this thread. Most are rare(especially Metamorphagi and Parselmouths), and a few will be rather strictly limited. To begin, here is some of the information about each one:
Animagus
A highly advanced branch of Transfiguration, in which a witch or wizard transfigures themself into an animal form, all the while retaining their human mind and reasoning. Due to the complex nature of the magic involved, increasingly limited numbers even attempt this magic, and the attempts themselves can go horribly wrong. This ability is closely regulated by the Ministry of Magic, and all those capable of performing the art must register with the Improper Use of Magic office with the kind of animal the witch or wizard turns into, as well as any distinguishing markings they may have as said animal. There are those that don't register, however, though this is rare and rather risky.
Legilimency
Legilimency is the art of sensing the thoughts of others, though what one can do with the ability is determined by how adept the witch or wizard is at the art. Rather rare, a Legilimens must go through a rather rigorous training process to even attempt this skill. Those proficient in this ability are formidable, and in the wrong hands, this could be very dangerous.
Metamorphagus
Unlike an Animagi transformation, those with this ability are born with it. Very rare, this skill allows a witch or wizard to transform their appearance at will, often in rather radical manners. It is uncertain how one comes by this ability outside of inheriting it, but those with at least one Metamorphagi parent are ten times more likely to have this ability than a child with no Metamorphagi parent.
Occlumency
The counter to Legilimency, Occlumency allows a practitioner to seal their mind against magical intrusion and influence. This is another art that takes a rigorous training process, but when mastered, it is a very desired and worthwhile ability.
Parselmouth
The ability to speak and understand the language of snakes, Parseltongue. An extremely rare ability, it is also most often tied to those who practice the Dark Arts - although having this ability has no real bearing on the allegiance of a witch or wizard.
Seer
With this ability, a witch or wizard possesses the Inner Eye, and with it has the ability to prophecy. Usually very imprecise, not every prophecy that a Seer has will necessarily come true - and others that do come to pass often do so in an unexpected, yet congruent manner to the prophecy.
Vampire
A person is transformed into a vampire by being bitten by another vampire. This is the only way one can be transformed, though children with at least one vampire parent are likely to inherit certain characteristics of this. A vampire must drink blood in order to survive, but the amount required usually varies with the individual. Like lycanthropy, there is no cure for vampirism, but vampires can learn to control and curb their behavior. There are products made specially for their use(blood-flavored lollipops sold in Honeydukes, for example). Contrary to legend and popular belief, sunlight will not harm a vampire, but due to their naturally pale skin, they are more susceptible to sunburn and are as a general rule less active during the daytime.
Veela
Characterized as exceedingly beautiful women with vibrantly blonde hair, full-blooded Veela are incapable of normal wizarding magic. While they have their own brand of 'magic', this is limited to when they are angered and the normal effect they have around normal humans. When angered, their faces become bird-like and scaly wings appear on their backs, and they are capable of throwing handfuls of fire. In normal circumstances, a Veela has a very intoxicating effect on people, particularly men. Part-Veela also inherit this intoxicating ability, though as the bloodline diminishes in purity, the effect becomes increasingly muted.
Werewolf
A werewolf is a normal human - or wizard - infected with lycanthropy. To become a werewolf, one must be bitten by a transformed werewolf, and from then on must learn to manage the condition. During the full moon, the afflicted individual will turn into their werewolf form - distinguised by a normal wolf by a tufted tail and the shape of the tufted tail and pupils of the eyes. A fierce creature, the werewolf loses all trace of humanity and would attack their closest friend if challenged. There is no known cure for lycanthrophy, though there are efforts being made to find a solution to help control the effects.
