The lowest level of Hogwarts castle. Rough stone walls form many corridors and rooms and torches set in sconces are the only light to offset the gloom. Found on this level are the kitchens, Hufflepuff and Slytherin common rooms, as well as the Potions classroom.

The second floor of Hogwarts castle. Largely unused, the main features of this floor are the out of order bathroom, as well as the Defense Against the Dark Arts' professor's personal office. One classroom is located here, that of Ancient Runes.

The third floor of Hogwarts castle. One classroom is located on this floor, Charms, along with the display galleries that are the trophy room and armor gallery. The other feature on this floor is the school's hospital wing.

The fourth floor of Hogwarts castle. The library is the main fixture on this floor and it takes up a good deal of room, though there is also a bathroom and a room that often houses the highly secret Mirror of Erised.

The numerous towers of Hogwarts castle. The Astronomy tower is where Astronomy lessons take place, and the Divination tower doubles as the classroom for that subject. The vast grounds surrounding Hogwarts castle. Sloping lawns of vibrantly green grass encroach right up to the fringes of the lake and continue to the borders of the Forbidden Forest. The Groundskeeper's cabin, Quidditch Pitch, vegetable gardens, greenhouses and Whomping Willow are all features on the grounds itself.

| {Hogsmeade Village}
The only all-wizarding village in Britain, Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts. As both were founded around the same time, the school and village have always had a special relationship. The train station here is where the Hogwarts Express drops off the students at the beginning of each term, and students that are third year and above are allowed to visit the village on select Saturdays - with a permission slip, of course.
