Against her better wishes, Madison laughed at the pun - hearing it a lot over the years hadn't made it any less funny for her. "Alright, alright..I get it. Pity moment over. If push comes to shove, I'll kick his arse all over the house one good time. Maybe that'll get a point across." In a bit of a lighter mood, she laughed again.

"That's the spirit." Cora laughed. After seeing both on the quidditch field, she knew without a doubt Maddie could do it, too. She was freakishly strong for someone so slender. "Just... make sure I can see it, okay? That would totally make my life worth it."

"Oh, I will." Madison grinned, back to her normal self. Manner turning conspiratorial, she leaned forward closer to Cora and then gave a smirk. "Maybe it'll knock some sense into him like it did in the final match in '75. I know you remember that one."

Cora groaned and shook her head. "How could I ever forgot that one? That was the match that lost us the cup! By one bloody freaking point!" She winced as she realized she was actually talking about Quidditch- it usually made her so sad that she couldn't even look at the Quidditch section in the paper anymore. Not that she had ever shared that with her friends- or that she had been contracted. Those were wounds she licked only in private.

"At least you weren't in the bottom slot again, and you actually beat Slytherin out for second place." Rolling her eyes towards the ceiling, Madison didn't bother rehashing that subject again. It had actually been a conversation piece the rest of that school year and there was no point in dredging up ancient history. "Either way, I'm going to get this situation sorted out. I'm getting sick of having to avoid my husband..who I still don't know how I ended up with."

"So? Second isn't first, and it was my first year as captain!" She shook her head, looking disgusted, then laughed at the change in subject. "I know why- he's a sexy beast. Still is. Granted, Remus is sexier- but just like Quidditch- I'm better at everything than you." She winked jokingly.

"That's not what I'm talking about, and you know it." Giving Cora an exasperated look, she sat back. "You ending up with Remy just..fit. Siri had so many choices and he picked me, and this was back when I still wanted to kill him for his ways. What in the name of Merlin's beard was that about?" This had never been something Madison would talk about with anyone, not even the woman that was more like her sister than anything else. There were topics that were just avoided at all costs.

"How in the world you would have ever predicted Remus and I to fit is beyond me. I definitely would have put you and Sirius together first. You two... he loves you. That's why you two ended up together. You didn't give into his whims, and you were actually yourself around him." She shrugged. "You worry too much about it. Are you not- overall- happy with him?"
