Noelle's eyes went wide, and she began to squirm, kicking at him and attempting to smack him- and actually succeeding once. He had no right to touch her in such a way, and she was going to make sure he knew it- vampire or not. "You... could... have... paused!" She hissed, barely getting the words out. He wasn't really hurting her (not much, anyway,) but she didn't like having someone else in control, and it wasn't easy to talk with someone's hand around your neck.

Rolling his eyes towards the ceiling at her rather pathetic attempts to get free, Nick let go of her neck and instead gripped her shoulders - making a point to touch the area where the bite mark was. "Paused in what, the middle of everything? That might be how the other men you bed operate, but not me." This was a low hiss, and he made a point of showing her just how he could loom over her.

Noelle let out a whimper as she felt his finger on her wound, which, while not as sore as it had been before, was still not pleasent. "Let go of me!" She snapped, kicking him again, making sure to dig her heels in this time. There wasn't enough room for her to get her feet higher than his shins, so she couldn't do any real damage, but she hoped it hurt pretty damn bad. "On our jaunt upstairs, maybe? When I told you to tell me about yourself? How hard is it to say 'I have a daughter'?" She squirmed again, wincing as it just made his fingers dig harder into her wound. Her efforts doubled, and she tried to get away from him. Just who did he think he had his hands on, anyway? She was Noelle goddamn Morgan!

"You know what, this isn't even worth the struggle." Letting go of her just as quickly as he'd grabbed her in the first place, Nick let out a mirthless chuckle. "So upset over one detail, yet the fact that I could literally drain you of blood in two minutes doesn't keep you away." Stepping away, he ignored the small spikes of pain that indicated where she'd kicked him - he didn't really feel as much as he should have, the adrenaline level was still too high.
"Maybe I should have said it, but I didn't. That's not changing, and if you want to rethink this..do it quickly before we're both wasting our time." This was nearly a warning.

Not expecting him to let go of her so quickly, Noelle fell to a graceless heap on the floor. She looked up at him, massaging her shoulder gently where he had grasped her and gave him a dark, pouty look that said clearly he had won this round. "You still should have told me." She grumbled more to herself than him. Whatever he had omitted, however, she clearly found to be less important than keeping him around, because she didn't say anything else about it or bother to leave.
She got to her feet, dusting off her clothes as she watched him, looking a little put out, but otherwise fine. "What did you want me to come over here for, anyway?"

Noticing the omission but deciding not to pursue the subject, he pinched the bridge of his nose tightly and closed his eyes, letting out a slow breath. Getting so angry wasn't a good idea when the instinct was still up - she was lucky he was able to keep himself back, otherwise she might not have been standing. "I've seen where you live, I thought it was time to return the favor."

"I see." Noelle said quietly, moving closer to him as she watched him. Her head was down ever so slightly in submission to his win, but her spirit certainly wasn't broken. She would fight him again, and probably soon. Noelle liked getting her way.
"So does that mean you're giving me the grand tour?"

"Since you seem intent on staying around in spite of this little 'episode', yes." The sarcasm infused in that one word was literally dripping, but he wasn't going to apologize for it - provoking a vampire was never a good idea unless one had a genuine death wish. "And this is even if you want a tour." He added, almost as if to soften the earlier sarcasm.

"I would like to see it, yes." Noelle said meekly, looking up at him. Her fingers were clutched in her skirt, trying to keep from touching him and therefore reminding him she was a snack he could easily enjoy. She'd already pushed his buttons one time too many today.

Giving a low chuckle, he nodded once and placed a hand on the small of her back, applying a gentle yet insistant pressure to move her towards the stairs. This was the way he led her back down the grand staircase to the first floor entrance hall, easily the largest multi-function room in the manor. Sitting room, de facto living room, gathering place for company. The rich carpet beneath their feet muffled their footsteps, making their passage across to an adjoining room near-silent and rather ghostlike.
The door was ajar as Nick reached it - first, naturally - and he gave it a light push to make it swing all the way open on silent hinges. "As you'll see, this is the dining room. Still has most of the original decorations, hasn't been remodeled in at least two hundred years."

Noelle let him lead her, looking around as they went back down the stairs. She could appreciate architecture and interior design in mansions, as she considered herself something of a connoisseur. She spent enough time in them, after all.
"It's very tasteful. The design.... how long has it been in the family?" She ran a hand over the door, admiring the expensive wood.

"At least three centuries. My great-great-great grandfather supposedly built it as a wedding present for his wife, and at least one family member has lived in it at all times since." Letting her remain by the door, Nick walked into the dining room and pulled his wand out of his sleeve, flicking it to light the candles set in the crystal chandelier over the table. This alone illuminated the room, as well as several cabinets of the finest china and decorative silverware that was left sitting out on the table at all times.

"He had nice taste. Elegant, but not showy." Noelle followed him further into the dining room, picking up one of the plates and inspecting it before putting it down. "I'm sure she was thrilled." I would be. She added to herself.

"Makes for quite the heritage to inherit." Putting his wand away once the candles were all lit, he allowed her a moment longer to look around the room and at everything in it before moving through to an adjoining miniature hallway that led into what was, very obviously, the kitchen. "And I think this room needs no explanation. All the fixtures are original, the staff still cook as if the ancestors were living here." Just one look made it obvious that he was telling the truth, as the room looked like something out of the 1700s.

"So does that mean you eat, or just entertain a lot?" Noelle asked, following him into the kitchen. She couldn't help but admit (silently, of course) that the manor was nicer than hers. She would have to tame her temper and convince Nick that she would be worthy of keeping around... after all, it was unacceptable that the nicest manor around wasn't owned by a Morgan. Well, that could be remedied.
