“I think you know exactly what I mean by the “right people.” Vinnie was studying Esme now, and he noticed how interested she was in him. They were dancing in circles now, and they weren’t exactly getting anywhere. So, Vinnie decided that he was simply going to come out with it. “Let’s just say that our fathers run in the same circles—serve the same entity.” He didn’t know how to much clearer than that without outright saying his Father was a Death Eater. He noticed that her lips were pursed together, and he couldn’t help staring a little bit. He knew it was wrong, but she seemed so much older than she was, and he couldn’t help giving her a second look.
She would pull her cloak around herself every couple of seconds—for security, perhaps? He noticed these little things about her and her facial expressions gave away a lot of what she was thinking. It was clear she was interested in him, and he couldn’t deny he was interested as well.

Content with the answer she was given, such as it was, Esme wisely decided to drop the subject in light of the nature of the discussion. "I see. Well, that's very fortunate for the both of us, isn't it?" Expecting no answer, she glanced around at their surrounding and took the location in.
She had seen the building in passing, but had never been allowed to go in on the rare occasions where she accompanied her father out on business. He much preferred to leave her to her own devices, but had also given her a strict set of perimeters to keep to. She was out of that set territory even then, but it wasn't something that overly concerned her. Being the only heir to the Baxter name now gave her a lot of leeway.
